purple2001 Heard “ Tubby’s Chaser “ on our local Jazz station. Sourced the album on Spotify - listened - it was love at first listen. Hoped I could get vinyl on Bandcamp - was successful!!
    Carsten Pieper thumbnail
Carsten Pieper Ah, and yet another fantastic "spiritual jazz" album from Manchester, er, sorry, Madrid. Anyways, Chip has been working with the Mancunian in-crowd in the past and now, his full-length debut for Matthew Halsall's Gondwana Records fits perfectly into the label's roster.
The shiny HD version (24-96) is a dream and does the musical content honour.
Hard to pick a favourite, as the sax is my instrument of choice, but Chip's flute playing is a joy to behold -and no way leads around Tubby Chaser ;-)) Favorite track: Tubby Chaser.

georgiannakrieger They've done it again! I especially love that the album ends with a live performance. My favorite recording are usually live because of the energy. These guys have it in the studio as well. An all around solid album. Favorite track: Rejoice (Live).

cnndrm99 Tried preordering, having purchased RoundAgain from here, but Nonesuch CANCELLED the order saying ‘our warehouse can’t ship outside the US’! Since when!!?

Very unfortunate, hopefully someone can rectify this. On the positive, keep the 🔥 coming McBride and co.
