Papa Shaka Sriracha Blokes, where be the vinyl?
    FallenAngel thumbnail
FallenAngel Deconstructed dub for the 21st century. Done with the niceties. End of times pressure. Lean into the sub and let it push you into darkness. Favorite track: GHOST DUBS - No Words.

  2. Triptych: Part Three
    by Harvestman
    supported by
    Lake of Berra thumbnail
Lake of Berra A mighty and beautiful work, Steve goes from strength to strength, everything from No Wilderness Deep Enough onward reveals a soul on fire. So glad to be able to listen to this album beneath the Hunter's Moon. Favorite track: Herne's Oak.
    njordmannen thumbnail
njordmannen I think it is fitting to write a review of the Triptych as a whole piece.

Having listened to it back to back a few times now, I really love this project. The experimentation and samples are great, like The Hag of Beara vs the poet, Nocturnal Field Song & Snow Spirits to name a few highlights.

I hope he pushes more into this on future projects. Favorite track: Clouds Are Relatives (The Bug - 'Amtrak Dub Mix').

    maxlphillips thumbnail
maxlphillips This feels like being forced to listen to the album of the year through a thin, muffling film. The compositional beauty is consistently and pervasively mind-blowing – never letting go of my ever-pleased attention – but the recording quality almost castrates it. Despite that, I came out of this thoroughly harrowed; unrelentingly pummelled with gorgeousness to the point of complete cleansing and reinvigoration. Favorite track: Ghost Eyes in the Fire Light.
    Aimfri thumbnail
Aimfri I'm not crying, you're crying! Favorite track: A Culture of Wilderness.
    Joni Korpi thumbnail
Joni Korpi Some damn good catharsis in here. Favorite track: Woodland Caribou.

    Eric Tait thumbnail
Eric Tait I always thought you guys should be way bigger than you are. With such memorable riffs and a powerful voice. Best wishes to Nate and his wife with her health. Going out on top! Cheers guys! Favorite track: You Will Never Hold The Key.

    gopackgo
They’ll truly be messed. I just got into them a couple years ago and was excited for what was coming. Too bad it ended, but I have all their music to live on. Good luck to the band.🤘🏻🤘🏻

    DEATHWEAVER DEATHWEAVER

    Sightless_Wisdom thumbnail
Sightless_Wisdom Be prepared to either die or go to jail because you will piss off your neighbors so much with how loud and powerful this music is that you will either fight to the death or kill your opponent and rot for the remainder of your days in prison. So basically the music will achieve its goal of laying waste to everyone and everything that hears it. Favorite track: Invoke War (feat. Machine Head).
    justintylerhughes thumbnail
justintylerhughes Savage heavy grooves Favorite track: Absolute Zero.
    positronicping thumbnail
positronicping Frozen Soul move ever closer to the Platonic ideal of death metal on this album. It's all timeless stuff, teeming with infectious riffs and pulverising grooves, as well as some appropriately icy atmospherics here and there. It might be meat and potatoes, but it's cooked by Michelin star chefs. Favorite track: Ethereal Dreams.

    NFHvc Appalachia thumbnail
NFHvc Appalachia Perhaps my most favored chariot album, ever: insert key, insert CD, insert speed - go. But not too fast, as one ponders the curious natures of crustpunk metal-motion.
    shawnslaught thumbnail
shawnslaught Sick as always. The relentless D-Beat and killer riffs combined with the tormented vocals have made Martyrdöd my go-to for a long time. Favorite track: In the Dead of Night.
    Bret thumbnail
Bret Probably my favorite Swedish hardcore band, and one of my favorite records from the band. In the most simple of terms, they play D-beat, but they are really so much more. They combine elements of many different styles with some great melodies and ferocious vocals. just buy it. Favorite track: Helveteslarm.

Kris Faust Immolation is synonymous with consistency, technical prowess, ferocity, and monumental songwriting. Descent is no exception. Real contender for album of the year.
    eManRenaissanc thumbnail
eManRenaissanc My favorite band, still thriving 40 years in. There's no one else like 'em. Just ordered the vinyl and had to buy the BC version too, of course.
    KenshirO thumbnail
KenshirO Crushingly heavy, oppressive and filled with a dark epic sound that many death metal bands could never hope to achieve. Tops even Acts Of God. Fantastic production and some of their best work ever. I recommend listening to it with a pair of Heavys 🎧 on. It will make your testicles explode Favorite track: Attrition.

    zionengine thumbnail
zionengine Less somber overall than Part One. If James Bond went through a brick of hash and forgot his mission, "Damascus" would be the song. I suspect all three parts of the Triptych will be "best with headphones" music. Favorite track: Galvanized and Torn Open.
