  1. Illuminations
    by FM Skyline
    supported by
    konaking thumbnail
konaking Apple Music put Advanced Memory Suite into my queue almost a year ago—not too long after that Illuminations cemented itself as one of my favorite albums. Although by virtue of its nature Cyberparadism is fundamentally unachievable, it offers the curious mind a place to escape, a utopia to dream of. Pure tones bathed in electronic ether come together to form a profound celebration of human achievement and possibilities. This album is one of the most successful forays into that dream yet. Favorite track: Classique.
    raabedwards thumbnail
raabedwards A beautifully produced album of carefully crafted textures and instrumentation along with lo-fi nostalgia which brings to mind early Boards of Canada and OPN. Standout tracks: Harlequin, Shadow, Classique Favorite track: Veil.
    breadsticat19265 thumbnail
breadsticat19265 Another nostalgic, memorable release from FM Skyline. Grand electronic drums, basslines and synthesizers all come together to craft an electronic Vaporwave album that truly sounds like the definition of the genre. Calls to mind an era that felt more hopeful, optimistic, as if progress and innovation meant more back then than it does now. Favorite track: Classique.

  2. The Kaizo Manifesto
    by Kaizo Slumber

    coda thumbnail
coda A super fun album all the way through, very optimistic and playfully bouncy in that clean, shiny Y2K vibe. Every track is memorable, and it's worth noting how great that acid bass sounds here, especially on songs like Schlierberg and The Technogaia Accelerates Technology and You! Favorite track: Schlierberg.
    notdarkhead thumbnail
notdarkhead i discovered it because of vivid stasis.. great rhythm game btw Favorite track: Cyberpunks Aren't Dead (feat. Murrumur).

slimjeffe Been listening to this at work every day since I bought it, banger. Favorite track: BIOS.
    batlord666 thumbnail
batlord666 Possibly the best DnB album I've heard. The gentle bloops, the rolling breaks, and feeling like you're listening to a PS2 make music - it's all immaculate. Favorite track: Region Free.
    cosmic_debris thumbnail
cosmic_debris Vibes from start to finish with tight breaks. Just the right amount of nostalgia. Grabbed the CD. Great release! Favorite track: Collision Detection.

Noxees Beautiful ambient work. The soundscapes feel spacious, calm and deeply immersive. It’s the kind of album that invites you to slow down, breathe and drift somewhere between earth and the stars. Truly inspiring and relaxing. Wonderful atmosphere.

    kingmagmor thumbnail
kingmagmor I started listening to this album avidly during my travels around Japan, specifically in the Tokyo district of Taito, where I grew fond of it. I associate the song "Old Town" with the local bean tea, and Delivery Boy 2099 with the swimming pool in Taito. I love your music and look forward to your next release! Favorite track: DELIVERY BOY 2099.
    elzentine thumbnail
elzentine Pizza Hotline’s work is quintessential in its space, absolutely soaked in the low-poly PlayStation-era sound. This is a unique gem among the pizzeria’s offerings, with a much more contemplative and melancholy atmosphere that immediately conjures the image of towering, monolithic skyscrapers washed in flickering neon. Despite the calm ambience, there’s a pervasive sense of beautiful sorrow in this album, and it’s all the richer an experience for that blue edge. Wholeheartedly recommended! Favorite track: Capsule Hotel Love.

    Overgrowth thumbnail
Overgrowth Game of the year, with this track being the strange little bit of levity I wasn't expecting towards the end of it. Heck I'm crying writing this right now remembering it. Favorite track: Sticks and Leaves.
    phillipthealien thumbnail
phillipthealien This is one of the few video game soundtracks that I can say is a good listen by itself, but infinitely better when experienced in the game it was created for. The implementation of music in Wanderstop is kind of incredible, and it works so well with the setting and story. Highly recommend giving it a try if you like this music! Favorite track: Wanderstop Part 2.

lee_bug Hopeful melancholia and nostalgia. Thinking of lost loves, falling snow, things that could have been, memories of playing video games on a friend's CRT during a storm, the purpose of one's life.

What a lovely mix for the season, for right now. <3
