    zuza thumbnail
zuza killer EP. the transition from the first 3 tracks into the slower atmospheric songs towards the end especially with the "dsbm" vibe on glimmer is just chef's kiss. Favorite track: What Is The Glimmer 'Top The Looming Castle Bell.

were-jaguar This is great! A fine swan song, but, it's quite a bit better than its predecessor, so.
    poisonoracle thumbnail
poisonoracle One of my favourite raw BM projects - Just ordered the cassette from Death Prayer - always happy to pay a little for the digital as well. Hails!

Nocturnal Egg (Jordan) 《 I would like to continue but I am void. 》

Favorite track: Black Metal.

    by FUNEBRARUM
    supported by
    sashavonkarl74 thumbnail
sashavonkarl74 Take a mix of classic, guttural and epic Abhorrence & Demigod, add a hint of keyboard, a pummelling drumming and pace changes to keep things surprising, and you get maybe a slight idea of what this masterpiece will bring!

Can you imagine these guys sharing a stage with REEKING AURA?? Favorite track: FUNEBRARUM - The Whispering Cathedral - Epilogue.
Brett (Lascaille's Shroud / Soulmass) thumbnail
Brett (Lascaille's Shroud / Soulmass) An incredible return after almost two decades, and perhaps their best yet. Stellar production and performances all around. Favorite track: FUNEBRARUM - Through the Barren Halls of Grieving Emptiness.
    Quill thumbnail
Quill Brutality prefaced by a grand and terrible introduction, and punctuated by a bewitching interlude. Favorite track: FUNEBRARUM - Through the Barren Halls of Grieving Emptiness.

Cordial Despair Lore is getting really creative in the musicality department. We hear unexpected progressions, cripplingly black atmosphere, and a nice traditional black metal lilt that made me love the genre from the start. The production really accommodates the vision nicely and allows the composition to keep you on your toes. Really high-caliber stuff here with plenty of potential. Favorite track: Eclipsed By Celestial Portals Of Psychosis.

Aaron Rice This is album of the year Favorite track: Astral Blood Of Dead Stars.

sashavonkarl74 I guess this showed up in my feed because I just (re-)added the very great early Convulse debut album, or maybe Bandcamp is using AI to learn that I have a huge bias towards the Finns and their DM, I don't know, but this is me atoning for not adding this way earlier!! From NJ with Finnlove!! Favorite track: Cursed Eternity.
    Juan Valdeath thumbnail
Juan Valdeath This one is a personal favorite and a real landmark in the OSDM revival, at least IMO. While there have been plenty of fine albums that you could call OSDM in the time since this came out, I don't think anyone has done better in paying tribute to the old gods (particularly the Swedish and Finnish ones) and still sounding vital and compelling.
    𝖙𝖜𝖎𝖘𝖙𝖊𝖉𝖘𝖔𝖓𝖔𝖋𝖜𝖆𝖙𝖘𝖔𝖓 thumbnail
𝖙𝖜𝖎𝖘𝖙𝖊𝖉𝖘𝖔𝖓𝖔𝖋𝖜𝖆𝖙𝖘𝖔𝖓 Seriously, when the detritus is boiled down in the gore of ancient corpses, nothing comes close to Funebrarum. Purveyors of rotten filthy death metal indeed. Having been witness to a live desecration has only added to my reverie when I listen to them. I am in love! Favorite track: Nex Monumentum.
    Choco Latte thumbnail
Choco Latte Funebrarum may be finished, but they did leave us with this piece of death metal brilliance. It's devastating, dark, and filthy rotten to the core. Favorite track: Cursed Eternity.

    Nocturnal Egg (Jordan) thumbnail
Favorite track: Calling All Abducted Spirits.
    thursday00 thumbnail
thursday00 Great sounds , can’t wait for another album !
This was Just what I needed , the sounds of a lonely demon shrieking from the pits of hell with the nice clean epics mixed with black metal breakdowns 🤘🤘the evoking of the evil . Anointing 😈 Favorite track: Calling All Abducted Spirits.
    Varun thumbnail
Varun A very unique blend of progression that meanders between familiarity and chaos. It will quench the thirst of the ones looking for a dynamic atmosphere with their lengthy tracks. Lore managed to retain the rawness well while keeping the integrity of the production !

bmurator Australian Atmospheric / Depressive Black Metal. If there is any project that can make me fall in love with DSBM it is Woewarden... :) Because it isn't just that but there is a whole spectrum of styles here! When coupled to some fantastic vocals, you really have the perfect recipe imho... :) Plus Woewarden have a new album due out in just over a month on the 12th of June so... :) I am already in my own little music paradise & you know what? I *really* need it at the moment! Highly recommended!!! Favorite track: In the Art of My Caged Existence.

    H.L. thumbnail
H.L. WOEWARDEN present a thrilling depressive black metal debut. Most exciting are the soul-touching guitars and the variety of vocals from defiant, desperate shrieks over black metal screams to growls and even spoken words. The vocals aren't dominant but well integrated in the organic, unpolished and atmospheric sound. Outstanding as well is the songwriting as many songs are catchy and full of own character, that is not always the case in that genre. Check "The Name of Suffering" or "Degenerate ". Favorite track: The Name of Suffering.
