Andrew Another cool release from Chat Pile, and perhaps their best. A little doom, a lot of Americana. Soundtrack to driving down I-40 across the prairie on a warm spring afternoon while thinking about ending it all. Favorite track: Radioactive Dreams.

cdude While previous Chat Pile releases were mainly angry, noisy, and heavy, this record has such a deep sadness. Absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended. Favorite track: The Magic of the World.

Jenell Kesler Western Sky Music, an enchanted lingering disembodied low-keyed America dreamscape, a soulful masterpiece, a brilliant deduction and exploration of the cosmic structure that holds everything tentatively in place. What’s laid down on Western Sky Music is not expansive, it’s smooth, it's sensuous, it nearly evaporates, it hovers close to the earth with a resounding warmth of things half remembered, things held just out of sight and is intoxicatingly delicious.
