The Dumb Punx what a beautiful album 😭 Favorite track: Faux Sweetness.
    cinnamondestroyer thumbnail
cinnamondestroyer Every band and their mother's band lists #shoegaze as a hashtag now. Many of them don't seem to know what it means or sounds like. I'm old. I got to see MBV, Ride, Swervedriver, Lush, Chapterhouse, Lilys, etc. Back then it was meant as derogatory. Nowadays it's mostly shorthand genre info. These guys are great at what they do. Smeary wads of distorted shoegaze guitars w/ glorious melodic angel vox draped over everything. The dream poppier moments are just as good. It arrived quickly. THANK YOU! Favorite track: Setback.

bill_mukang This is such a lush, beautiful album, equal parts grit and astral, a balance Lucid Express reaches exceptionally well. One of the truly great shoegaze masterworks that gets better with every listen. Favorite track: Take Heart.

cinnamondestroyer Because I was in a couple of bands in DC (THUD, Trampoline, Cinnamon Toast) and was a DJ at the DC alt rock (sure) radio station, I was in Ted's acquaintance orbit and felt like an unwanted satellite of a lot of DC bands. Ha. I went to see him live quite a bit in the 90s and I've always liked his work. I was planning on buying this 7" or whatever, and didn't pay much for it digitally because I hate owning air. Then I read he's not putting it out! It absolutely rules! Vinyl Ted, PLEASE!! Favorite track: How Can I Tell You It's Not Fair.
    Damfino thumbnail
Damfino I love January song. Has a very refreshingly retro sound to it. I've had it on repeat for almost an hour now. Favorite track: January Song.

loubat99 Freaked out when I heard you on Sirius XMU's weekly new music show this week. I immediately came here to buy the new songs! It's great to have you back making new music and hope this leads you to a new full-length. Both songs are a wonderful surprise that was much needed in these days. Favorite track: How Can I Tell You It's Not Fair.

    BobandoCommando thumbnail
BobandoCommando My impulsive curiosity payed off again. Had no clue who these people were but after playing a track on here I could sense I'd love the whole album. It is a minimalist sounding album but has a fun addicting energy to it that made me repeat the album over and over again. Despite the energetic and playful nature of it, the most subdued and somber track, "Julie", was a standout to me. Favorite track: Julie.
