  1. Las Hogueras Arden Cada Vez Con Más Fuerza
    by EKKAIA
    supported by
    trainh13 thumbnail
trainh13 EKKAIA to me represent the apex of the neo-crust style that became so popular following Tragedy's rise in the early 2000s. Their harmonized guitars and haggard vocals communicate true longing hiding underneath all the chaos. To have their whole discography available to the world for free like this seems downright criminal. Favorite track: Dos Mundos.
    Jesse Mowery thumbnail
Jesse Mowery absolutely one of the best and most influential neocrust bands, so amazing to hear this stuff remastered Favorite track: Disfrazando La Piel Del Miedo Y La Aflicción.
    colonycollapsexvx thumbnail
colonycollapsexvx The (nearly) complete remastered discography of the best neocrust band in history. Their first LP in particular is the blueprint for perfect emocrust. Favorite track: Manos Que Estrechan Planes De Muerte Y Sometimiento.

    Mason Pond thumbnail
Mason Pond fuuuuck, finally the demos for this album. I petition that fugazi should release all the demos from every album and song.
Facet also sounds really good played slow and heavy. Favorite track: Facet Squared (Albini Session).

chosenjoven Blackgaze. A piece I never knew I needed until I heard it. Remarkable. Favorite track: Marsh.
    Der Brecher thumbnail
Der Brecher Very beautiful and absolutely worth your time. Fitting covershot as well.
    sellingaim thumbnail
sellingaim Together with Deafheaven's "Sunbather" this is what has brought me into the genre, and especially the russian blackgaze scene. The record provides a great mix between chaotic and beautifully crafted segments and songs which makes it a must have for any blackgaze listener if you ask me. Favorite track: Selva.

    ivoiiovi thumbnail
ivoiiovi "hipster black metal" reigns supreme with these guys - totally superb take with its own sound, even before they expand it on the next album.
also bonus cool points for the unexpected Upsilon Acrux link.
    reinholder thumbnail
reinholder This album and band are simply transcendent both for music and the Black Metal genre…..There’s no replacement for this sound…they’re the only ones doing it….The level of songwriting on the acoustic moments is up there with the best and the beauty and intensity they bring to the table when they’re at their heaviest is on another level I’ve never felt such warmth radiated through such heaviness….This unicorn of a band is the most exciting thing in music right now:) Favorite track: The Glory of the Ocean.
    Hannah thumbnail
Hannah I remember when this album came out I was telling practically everyone I knew to go listen to it. The whole thing hits so hard for me. Favorite track: The Glory of the Ocean.

sellingaim An album that embodies everything on why i love this genre so much.
Its destructive, rough and ugly - but at the same time portrays a feeling of bliss, beauty and something dreamlike.
This is some S-Tier Blackgaze my friends. Favorite track: Smoldering Woodland.
    Zachary Gillan thumbnail
Zachary Gillan The most menacing lullabies ever recorded.
    Madrigal_hjalmar thumbnail
Madrigal_hjalmar a perfect soundscape to get lost in and be super-productive with many tasks. It is an amazing experience, as the music doesn't fade into the background but rather bolster you along. Favorite track: Trembling Night.
