Ryan Johanson This is my bad day song. The growl at 0:44 says everything without needing to say anything.
    mysticfool68 thumbnail
mysticfool68 An excellent cover of one of my favorite artists by another one of my favorite artists, kicks total ass!!!
    greycap thumbnail
greycap Thick, heavy and grim as fuck. It gives you a feeling through it and sounds awesome, that is what music should do.

bakum4tsu Love this new project from Blackbraid! Can't wait for a full LP! Favorite track: Moss and Blood Have Gathered In Shadow.
    Pat thumbnail
Pat I wanted to love this, but I find it derivative and, to be honest, uninspired. Production value and execution are great, so are the drumming and vocals, but I want to see some real creativity and originality in their next release.

    spiro75 What a fantastic EP...more please!!

Highly recommended Favorite track: Seduced By Conquering Darkness.

Piper Haqim This album erupts with technical proficiency and head-swaying good melodies that kept me up for hours. Favorite track: Effervesce.
    minusoneman2 thumbnail
minusoneman2 Highest class of catchy but still brutal progressive death metal with lots of atmosphere. Friends of late Death, Gomorrha,Obscura and bands like that MUST check this out...
    osirisx3r0 thumbnail
osirisx3r0 I like the follow-up a lot more, but there's definitely room for this to grow. Such a talented band, with the ability to weave layer upon layer of atmosphere and wonder, but be incredibly brutal going about it Favorite track: Stargazer.

    Metallurgical Fire thumbnail
Metallurgical Fire They got the production right this time. You can call it cosmic, but this music is proper terrifying. Imagine if Lord Mantis became a progressive tech-death band and you’ll get close. Incantation and Morbid Angel sound like Blue Oyster Cult next to this madness. The vocals are possessed. Fantastic! I’ve known what they were capable of. Now the chaos is on your doorstep. Favorite track: Oblivionauts.
    gnihilo thumbnail
gnihilo Wow, next-level cosmic death metal! Not the typical "cruising through time and space", but rather "sucked into nothingness" kind: Proggy, dissonant and terrifying. And the drumming is totally out of this world! Favorite track: Panspermic Bio-Dome.
    Stephen thumbnail
Stephen Oh man this does not disappoint. If you like some cavernous space death metal; this is your jam. Looking forward to having this on repeat for the rest of the year. Well done! Favorite track: Putrescent Mireborn.
    positronicping thumbnail
positronicping An immense interdimensional offering from Devoid Of Thought. The riffs warp and morph along with the song structures, and the overall coherence adds a strange smoothness to the angular chaos. The production has a wonderful liveness that makes it feel like you're in the room with them. First Cryptic Shift, then Ordh, now this? 2026 is turning into a landmark year for the cosmically inclined part of the death metal spectrum! Favorite track: Oblivionauts.

    Barbon Fringant thumbnail
Barbon Fringant I really like brutal death metal but I have to admit that it is not a genre where you can find a lot of originality and even less experimentation. There are few BDM bands that break out of the mold of conventions and Thaetas is one of them.
    Dan Curhan thumbnail
Dan Curhan I keep coming back to these squealybois and their fat slammy brutal death metal. This is tasty, tasteful, and tight as fuck.
    krikahalo thumbnail
krikahalo Stellar technical brutal death with fat slams, chunky riffs, and dissonant touches. It's like getting beaten to death by aliens. Good shit. Favorite track: Envy the Stillborn.

    felizo thumbnail
felizo deep cosmic consciousness, channeled through analog equipment - how could anyone not want to hear that?

Stephen Instant pre-order. I didn't even listen to it. Everything from this band is good, doesn't even matter the genre.

    Obsidian One thumbnail
Obsidian One The first Darkspace album I discovered, and I've followed them ever since. That opening riff at about 2:50 of Dark 4.18 instantly made me a fan. Anybody familiar with Blaster Master for the NES? Its intro music sounds a lot like this riff. Dark 4.19 and Dark 4.20 are also very good, making this my second favorite album after Dark Space III (nothing tops Dark 3.17). I look forward to a new full-length from these originators of atmospheric black metal ambient, presumably titled Dark Space III II. Favorite track: Dark 4.18.
    Nocturnal Egg (Jordan) thumbnail
Favorite track: Dark 4.19.
    KiviPää thumbnail
KiviPää Beautifully agonising lonliness engraved in music Favorite track: Dark 4.19.
