acaDamien A thrilling atmospheric black/black gaze album that is beautifully put together. Lots of melody in this with incredible riffs, and phenomenal vocals. Favorite track: Espérance clouée.
    Urso X thumbnail
Urso X Paris-based Japanese artist Yota Yajima performs under a Greek name meaning “new moon”. OK then! Regardless of this project’s identity, this is a rollicking atmo black/blackgaze bobby-dazzler guaranteed to blow your wig off. Outstanding! Favorite track: La scène de mes rêveries.

haxk_not_hacks Raw emotion for eleven straight tracks. Favorite track: You Are the Night.
    iannai thumbnail
iannai Really enjoyed this album. Was a bit skeptical of it from some reviews online, but was pleasantly surprised by most of the tracks. The mix of harsh and ethereal elements is a favorite part of this genre, and there's lots of it here.

The only track I don't enjoy is metaphor, it feels out of place personally. Other than that, really good music. Favorite track: Dreamgatherer.
    HeavyMetalRaptor thumbnail
HeavyMetalRaptor Just found this band and instantly became one of my favorites. This album could potentially be on my top 5 list of 2025. Favorite track: Inertia.
    David Fischer thumbnail
David Fischer Heretoir have yet to disappoint in any way. Solastalgia is them continuing their streak of impressive, introspective, and depressive releases. Whether Nils demolishes his kit with blastbeats in brutal fashion, guitars chug over David's bellowing shouts, or Nathanael adds ethereal clean vocals: this is Heretoir at their most potent and focused. Solastalgia – in the form of pain, melancholy, and anger – astutely shines through each and every one of the aggressive or introspective tracks. Sublime! Favorite track: Burial.

    H.L. thumbnail
H.L. OUTLAW play highly captivating black metal, predominantly fast-paced and driving forward, but not without melody and atmosphere. The hoarse, distorted vocals perfectly complement the dynamic tracks. Here and there you can catch your breath before the tempo picks up again, the drums unleash a relentless onslaught, and the guitars shred. Truly a tempestuous performance! You can really immerse yourself in the inferno during tracks like "Through the Infinite Darkness" or "Those Who Breathe Fire." Favorite track: Through the Infinite Darkness.

sashavonkarl74 I already wrote it countless times, I am stunned that every now and then I stumble upon a rare gem of Melodic Black Metal gem and surprise surprise, it is a band from Brazil! I already have two previous albums from OUTLAW and as such I am really looking forward to the full release date!
Highly recommended FFO Watain, Dissection, and maybe Litosth, Autrest, and the 90's Scandinavian classics. Favorite track: A Subtle Intimation.
    Timothy Alex Tombstone thumbnail
Timothy Alex Tombstone Wow. Astonishing album. This is how metal should be done. Majestic. Favorite track: A Subtle Intimation.

David Fischer I have to 100% agree with namelesssoul. Schauder is incredibly consistent throughout, almost every song is a highlight in itself and solid contender for favourite track. Kalte Fliesen, Ascheregen, Purpurne Stadt, Flüsse, Alle Worte – every song sports thrilling riffs, furious drumming and versatile vocals. Sometimes banshee-esque, sometimes with a touch of hardcore. This creeped into my collection on December 31st, 2:20 am, and right to the list. It should be on yours as well. Kaufen, hören! Favorite track: Kalte Fliesen.
    namelesssoul thumbnail

Favorite track: Ascheregen.

    Dave Aftandilian thumbnail
Dave Aftandilian It’s rare to hear such intricate ritualistic aspects on a death metal album, and they truly push Skaphos’s music to another level. The muscular black metal elements also punch hard in the listener’s gut and face, commanding attention and fear of the many horrors that lurk at the edges of our everyday perceptions. And the doom elements highlight the feeling of slow-creeping, inescapable horrors.
    dave999 thumbnail
dave999 why I love this record?! because you can easy listen to it as a whole without skip a single Track. Atmosphere is amazing. listened to the Album while chilling in the bathtube. fits perfect!
There first 2 albums are also very good.
