    by SACRIFICIAL ECSTASY

    Degenerate. thumbnail
Degenerate. Fucking hell. IMMENSE Favorite track: Chained At The Helm Of The Eschaton.
    JDMP thumbnail
JDMP This is my first foray into Haunter, and what I want to stress is how much I thoroughly enjoy their blend of death, black, and prog. The song structures are immaculate and directed by complex and compelling riffs. Great doom laden atmosphere. Killer vocals that match everything perfectly. Black metal moments that remind quite nicely of Yellow Eyes. Great record.
    Slevin thumbnail
Slevin There's nothing I could add, it's all been said and said better than I possibly ever could. This album is an absolute beauty. Love it.

  2. Miami Lice: Season Four
by Lice (Aesop Rock & Homeboy Sandman)
    supported by
    megamasterx thumbnail
megamasterx Incredibly well configured album. Homeboy Sandman really put on his A game and Aes knocked the production out of the park. Easily one of the greatest works in their respective discographies. Favorite track: The Burgers.
    echonova130 thumbnail
echonova130 instant fucking banger. idk how they do it every time!
    Timmyg thumbnail
Timmyg Your two fun uncles show up to your birthday party at the same time and trade the mic one upping each other the whole party. And you realize that your fun uncles are actually cool and not just odd. but they are odd. plus they grill a mean (veggie?) burger. Favorite track: Who Sent You?.

  3. Ethereal Horizons
    by Blut Aus Nord
    supported by
    Timothy Carr thumbnail
Timothy Carr Symphonic, bombastic, and completely over the top in the best possible way. They've transcended black metal and become something more: art rock. Proof that "avant garde" that does not always mean pretentious. Favorite track: Shadows Breathe First.
    Sean TPLTR thumbnail
Sean TPLTR Another masterpiece. Blut Aus Nord is an instant buy without hearing a note. Lots of subtle melody on this one! Favorite track: Shadows Breathe First.

    ghastly grace thumbnail
ghastly grace something about this album just screams aesop rock to me. i mean, its his album so that isn't saying much, but iykyk Favorite track: Crystals and Herbs.
    William Ahrens thumbnail
William Ahrens “In the crystal ball it isn’t always crystals and herbs…”

This in my opinion is some of A’s best work. No disrespect to the other albums. Love his work with blockhead.🥁
    Favorite track: Bag Lunch.
    orsmusic1 thumbnail
orsmusic1 This is a masterpiece of rap. Highly recommended! Favorite track: The Cut.

  5. Meridians Of Sacrifice II
    by Kommodus
    supported by
    Shoigunjinsho thumbnail
Shoigunjinsho This shit fucking rips...dark murderous warfare... the album cover is exactly what you're getting. Favorite track: Machine Gun.
    Styg Bond thumbnail
Styg Bond Massive. Absolutely levels everything in its path. Kommodus brings the intensity on this split w/ Koreltsak. Insane vocals, impossible guitar riffs and smashing drums will attempt to destroy your soul. If you’re familiar with Kommodus, you probably already have it. And if you’re not familiar, what are you waiting for? Favorite track: Machine Gun.
    ilovetailorswift thumbnail
ilovetailorswift love your take on black metal. in my opinion better than the recent album, but koreltsaks side rips so goddamn much too Favorite track: Osgiliath Seasons.

    Dan Curhan thumbnail
Dan Curhan Filthy AND progressive?? You've got my attention. This album has some of the most thoughtful and mature songwriting I've heard in a long time - excellent attention to detail, and a satisfying arc. Very, very good.
    Chimplord thumbnail
Chimplord I LOVED Barishi and was crushed when they broke up. I was beyond stoked when I found out about this project.
This is amazing start to finish.

Dave Aftandilian Epic and immersive, yet also laid back and relaxing. If Pink Floyd were to re-form and start making guitar-driven dungeon synth, I’ll bet it would sound like this.
    Jesus Popcornius thumbnail
Jesus Popcornius Lovely stuff, echoes of late 60s and 70s prog rock, modified upon your instantly recognisable style, identified across most of your projects..

Ippocalyptica Inferno is clearly just competing with themselves at this point. These available 7.5 minutes are enough to know that Sophisms will be a real contender this year. More thoughts on 17 July.
