  1. Collected Pieces
    by Mary Lattimore
    supported by
    imijen thumbnail
imijen I feel like Collected Pieces has never been recognised enough, seeing as it's "only" a compilation, not an album, and it's even easier to miss it now the combined collection Collected Pieces: 2015-2020 has been released. My favourite from this tracklist, the peculiar, discordant 'Bold Rides', is missing on that re-release. I really recommend seeking Collected Pieces out, whether you are new to Mary Lattimore or not, so you don't miss the very best of this tracklist. Favorite track: Bold Rides.

Stef Macbeth Sonically so rich, as always with SAULT. I keep returning to this and finding something new each time. Brilliant. Favorite track: Air.
    EB thumbnail
EB probably the most hardest instrumental album i have ever heard in my 25 years of existence Favorite track: June 55.
    mackro thumbnail
mackro My favorite artists are ones who aren't afraid to try something completely different. I hear Charles Stepney, David Axelrod's Earth Rot, Steve Reich, Penguin Cafe Orchestra and others in this, but it's undeniably Sault in the end. As usual, probably my favorite album of the year. Favorite track: Solar.

    T. Super The music is genius. The main melody perfectly balanced/made more complex, interesting by the underlying counter-melody. My favorite song will surely change again and again, love them all. Favorite track: The Old Times Came to My Mind (ትዝ አለኝ የጥንቱ).

    ratmachine398 thumbnail
ratmachine398 This album feels like driving home from the hospital late at night after a loved one has died. Might be because that's what it's about?

Another great release by The Twilight Sad. Favorite track: ATTEMPT A CRASH LANDING - THEME.
    DAS VILLAIN thumbnail
DAS VILLAIN I sympathize with The Twilight Sad of losing a family member. I lost my father to cancer in 2017 and my mom of respiratory failure in 2018. This album is the band's way of coping with their loss that delves into the synthpop / darkwave /shoegaze side. It's never easy losing a loved one-as I still mourn them, but it gets easier-where The Twilight Sad helps ease one's pain as they ease there own. Favorite track: DESIGNED TO LOSE.

    TeeDubyaBee thumbnail
TeeDubyaBee This album is a killer follow up to one of my favourite recent LPs, 'Anemones'. Travelling a similar astral path to T.Power's classic 'Self Evident Truth...' album, this is beautifully melodic ambient jungle of the Moving Shadow style with deep Radiophonic/IDM notes. The G-Funk whistle and pitched up vocals on Falling is a highlight for me. Proper headphone listening gear. Favorite track: Falling.
    seudoname thumbnail
seudoname This is an incredibly danceable album! Melancholia got me up during the Blumenfantasie Listening Party, I couldn't just sit still and listen

    Spaceman Si thumbnail
Spaceman Si Dobrawa takes the cello, an instrument already capable of everything from deeply sonorous notes to the sweetest highs, and gives it wings. Inspired layering of exquisitely crafted loops and sounds from a fine instrument has created a wonderland of deeply hypnotic music that is waiting to embrace and immerse you like the waters of the Lethe. If you enjoy this, give Jessica Moss' work with the violin a listen, too. Favorite track: Sirens.
