GonZo Much closer to the feel of a mixtape or a project released under a pseudonym rather than an outright album. Lots of mixes and cuts that are very out of the norm for Pools, with Oxygen and the title track really being the only ones giving the usual HP vibes. Most of the album is pretty abstract and quite slow, requires a good deal more active listening than the rest of the catalogue. HP’s given us plenty of music to smoke bowls to, now we have an album to OD on ketamine with 🤙 Favorite track: Oxygen.

Lucky Elk Another thoughtful window into the art that is hotel pools. Spicy and relaxing at the same time... even nothing is something extraordinary. Favorite track: Navigate.

Brian Hobbs Lunch sneaks up on you. First half is the kind of only celebration you get where you live in office spaces filled with so much greedy space. Then, it's in some kind of post-eating fugue where the molecules are vibrating visibly, and you walk down the lengths of everywhere with your stomach doing its own business.

Steeley Superwave continues on brilliantly from previous albums Apogee and Downtown, and with fourteen tracks of good variety, its really tough to choose a favourite - though I'm picking OVERSHARE which is a real banger. Favorite track: OVERSHARE (ft. Piña Cola).

corrout Kouek is the saviour of future funk and more people need to know that Favorite track: Your/Mine.
