  1. Nothing
    by Hotel Pools
    supported by
    GonZo thumbnail
GonZo Much closer to the feel of a mixtape or a project released under a pseudonym rather than an outright album. Lots of mixes and cuts that are very out of the norm for Pools, with Oxygen and the title track really being the only ones giving the usual HP vibes. Most of the album is pretty abstract and quite slow, requires a good deal more active listening than the rest of the catalogue. HP’s given us plenty of music to smoke bowls to, now we have an album to OD on ketamine with 🤙 Favorite track: Oxygen.
    Lucky Elk thumbnail
Lucky Elk Another thoughtful window into the art that is hotel pools. Spicy and relaxing at the same time... even nothing is something extraordinary. Favorite track: Navigate.
    Brian Hobbs thumbnail
Brian Hobbs Lunch sneaks up on you. First half is the kind of only celebration you get where you live in office spaces filled with so much greedy space. Then, it's in some kind of post-eating fugue where the molecules are vibrating visibly, and you walk down the lengths of everywhere with your stomach doing its own business.

    jealousjamz thumbnail
jealousjamz Magnificent... a small throwback to the old, but with the enhanced tech of the new (ie Disc 1, Heat, and Theme Cartridge) When I say old, I moreso mean the Futurescape and VHS sounds. Honestly, I would kill for Futurescape remaster, i believe it's the only album that would want it, and with the enhancements of MD's it could prove a good retelling.
Regardless, these tracks flow probably the best in MD's line up. Favorite track: Infinite Ammo.

    Markix thumbnail
Markix This might be one of the most moving Future Funk albums I've ever listened to - I regret paying only £1 for it Favorite track: Radiant Memories.
    ds394 thumbnail
ds394 Short, but every track is condensed with the maximum amount of good vibes per second. Favorite track: Radiant Memories.
    lynote thumbnail
lynote I first listened to Radiant Memories about four years ago. I had no idea what it was at the time. I didn't know anything about Future Funk, Neoncity Records, or TANUKI. I didn't know what I was hearing, but I knew that it moved me. I felt like I was being blasted down a road full of lights and hope for only a brief moment when the drums and horns chimed in, and I was struck by something emotionally primal and strong when the Sax popped in near the end. Favorite track: Radiant Memories.
