    Joe Harris These sounds.

It’s like these pieces (they certainly aren’t ‘songs’) have been dredged up from the bowels of the Earth.

The palette is dismal, decaying, and decrepit as Scott’s trademark atonal guitar floats amidst a dense and obscure soundscape. This is genre-less mastery and, in its single minded pursuit of a certain sound, I’m minded of that other visionary Lee Scratch Perry.

Interestingly, Perry literally buried his master tapes under mouldering soil to achieve such earthy tones….

Danielgeist Wow! Raw and melodic with some epic moments like others have said. Will be keeping watch on this band for the future
    positronicping thumbnail
positronicping Rakta Tṛtīya Netra's sound is far more expansive and finely crafted than the demo tag might imply, and it's not the big swoops that surprise you but the little ups and downs along the way. I can't not agree with all the other reviewers, this is a raw melodic BM gem. Favorite track: Sunyam.
    Manny thumbnail
Manny Incredible demo. The bleak yet serene intro leading into a harsh noise echo chamber perfectly sets the tone for the raw melodicism that follows it. The synths add to the impact of the climactic moment on track 2 and would love to hear them explore that more. The riffs are expertly composed, and soar triumphantly over the textured wall of sound. Fantastic debut from beginning to end. Favorite track: Ingwaz.

    suhrim777 thumbnail
suhrim777 One of the best DSBM/Blackgaze releases in history. I don`t know what`s going on in Mexico but they`ve got an incredible depressive scene. 1962 is a mixture of DSBM an Blackgaze... all songs got their mesmerizing moments and parts full of hate. The vox are hopeless like Grim`s of Aaskereia are. For all deciples of DSBM and all Gazer out there 1962 is a MUST BUY! Every track is awesome. Favorite track: Inferiority Complex.

porcelainheart- This band's first album is how I found out about a nazi distro label, believe it or not. Really sucked seeing that, but I'm overjoyed that the new album is under better management. Favorite track: 三.

Nuclear Girl Amazing... I echo the Yellow Eyes comparisons with gusto. I'd love to see more of their releases on tape or wax.
    Shapeshifting thumbnail
Shapeshifting While the previous alb to this was solid this new one exceeds all that with some margine. Loving the strong Yellow Eyes influence as always since their sound and approach is so unique. Good seeing other projects carring on with a similar uniquiness based around that particular vibe. Favorite track: The Slumber.
    Pauline Zipser thumbnail
Pauline Zipser Awesome surprise. Indignance was one of the best albums of last year and so happy to see this one come ripping up out of the ground with no warning. Favorite track: The Slumber.

Metalheadjoshie Tbh This song reminds of Mortician Zombie Apocalypse because of the beginning of the intro but this band Fluids is fucking sick and awesome🤘🏽🔥🔥🔥 Favorite track: Capped.
    fluids_freak thumbnail
fluids_freak Even more grind and ignorance than before. It just keeps getting filthier. Some of the grooviest shit you'll listen to, and not a bad anal soundtrack, either. Favorite track: Chunked.
    Lorenzo thumbnail
Lorenzo Ungodly heavy death metal stinking up the place with tactless goregrind and some more brutal leaning DM vomiting out for good measure. Lacking subtlety (and not needing it), it is a crushing hammer to the head, a sharp knife penetrating your mind, and a hideous disfigurement of some of the most unforgiving music you can subject yourself to.

Tharkius Absconditus Oh, this takes me back, a really pleasant surprise it was! I remember when that homonymous bootleg was circulating around the web which led many to believe it was authentic, but now the real thing is finally out and it's just beautiful!

It's a masterpiece as furious and unrelenting as soothing and melancholic, just the way good Blackgaze is meant to be! Favorite track: Melting | 溶解.

    Dave Aftandilian thumbnail
Dave Aftandilian Waves crash all around me, unceasing, pitiless, chilling. I float, treading water, helplessly lost and alone. Just one gentle touch could save me; one kind word. But instead there is nothing, no one, just me and my hopeless screaming despair, forever and never. Favorite track: Night of Confusion I | 迷夜 Pt.I.
