    Solumine thumbnail
Solumine Love their previous work but that release feels like a culminating point in their progress. Very tasteful and refined musical elements that binds together perfectly.
    Alex Decknadel thumbnail
Alex Decknadel This album flew under my radar after being a fan of their previous albums. That being said, the leaner run time forces the album to be way more direct and driving than their previous releases.

This is all well and good because all I want to do is press the replay button after the album ends. Favorite track: An Endless Ocean of Wildflowers.
    Alyx Delongchamp thumbnail
Alyx Delongchamp I feel like there was a higher chance of us getting a new title fight record before we got a new Skagos record, but WOW I'm glad I was wrong.
this album was incredible to discover and I'm so happy we have more Skagos after so long.

  2. Par un sourire (2010/2015)
    by Bonjour Tristesse

    Nocturnal Egg (Jordan) thumbnail
    bmurator thumbnail
bmurator German Depressive Black Metal. This is some very good DSBM plus it is the debut of this one man, Nathanael (Matthias), project. Nothing is ground breaking but everything is extremely well done. The best I would say is the first song where the lyrics cut you like a knife & the execution of the music is perfect! Recommended!!! Favorite track: 01 Tu es inscrite dans les lignes du plafond.
    stomachgrinder thumbnail
stomachgrinder What a masterful depressive BM release. So glad i stumbled across this band too! Loved this album from start to finish.. reminded me of Abyssic Hate in parts. Looking forward to checking out more releases by them. Favorite track: 01 Tu es inscrite dans les lignes du plafond.

    Urso X thumbnail
Urso X BT's growth album over album has been truly remarkable. Whereas his previous effort was firmly rooted in atmo/post dsbm, this record feels like distilled, raging rabm, albeit nicely atmospheric and despite the absence of the rabm tag present on previous albums. Many will surely miss the spoken passages and other fine touches, but this is inarguably BT's strongest material yet (even as YUUN remains my sentimental favourite). Favorite track: Turmoil.
    sashavonkarl74 thumbnail
sashavonkarl74 "Bonjour Tristesse" is not a French DSBM outfit, but a Munich - Bavarian melancholic and yes, depressive post-BM one-manned project. I did really enjoy the atmosphere created here, the dark melodies and the outstanding guitar work, on top of all, makes this opus an immersive experience and while it sticks to the trad BM roots, the production is clean and professional, which I think is needed to "suck you in" that immersive dark aura instead of making you a distant bystander. Favorite track: Turmoil.

    dardar1126 thumbnail
dardar1126 Really love their fusion of traditional sounding Eastern European music w/a jazz sensibility.

Am big fan of the Bulgarian women's choruses, US groups The Pennywhistlers & Kitka, & Finnish group Värttinä. Hear shades of all of them in this music.

porcelainheart- The very first Trhä release, mimicking the earlier albums that sounded like dreary, somber low-fi atmo-black worship in the vein of Paysage d'Hiver and Coldworld, and synth usage that rivals Summoning. I don't think anyone knew where this project would go, what twists and turns it would take, after this album. What has been witnessed after this has been nothing short of incredible. Favorite track: Nëlhlica.
    zakukiyu thumbnail
zakukiyu This record is poured with so much melancholy, and i absolutely fucking love that. Last track almost made me cry. When the guitars and drums finally started to kick in, I felt so much weight in my heart and chest. What a majestic album, truly. As always; thank you, damian. Favorite track: Alandlhan Nítaq Ëlh.

porcelainheart- Released a full year before endlhëdëhaj qáshmëna ëlh vim innivte, the seeds of that album were planted here. This album has a broader focus on ambience that can disarm you if you're not familiar with what Trhä is fully capable of. Oddly reminiscent of some of the OG Silent Hill video game soundtracks. Equal parts sorrowful and ominous. Listen to the middle part of endlhëturhën onwards, you'll understand. Favorite track: endlhëturhën.

    Junge Asche 📕: endlhëtonëg
    It speaks of longing,
    of heat that won’t dissolve.
Of bells ringing through summer dusk
for a love that never found shape.
🪉10/10 — one of my favourite Trhä records

bmurator US Operatic / Symphonic Black Metal. I still cannot get over just how good & especially interesting their recent album Weibermacht is! So I thought I would dig deeper into this project & I am just awed by Andromeda Anarchia's vocals! A fantastic album & a superb style of music with some stellar & well known musicians. I would love to be able to see them live! Highly recommended!!!
    Erik Salazar thumbnail
Erik Salazar Found out about this band through Century Media. What an amazing take on black metal! On this, their debut, Folterkammer showcase a beautiful mix of black metal mixed with operatic vocals and baroque musicality that is a wonder to behold. Seriously beautiful music! On the plus side, this band features the guitar work of Zachary Ezrin from Imperial Triumphant. If all that isn't enough to pique your interest, then nothing else will. Check this out! Favorite track: Die Nänie.

Frank Hardlic This interpretation is close to impressionist piano works like Ravel or Debussy and death metallish grounded to expressionist piano works like Bartok or Rachmaninov. Closing with a work of the GOAT is the icing on the cake. Hot rotation. Favorite track: Maximalist Scream.
