lazareissoaked Very VERY good. Favorite track: Golden Hour.
    sirenrain thumbnail
sirenrain Luna Li is now one of my favorite singers now ever since I found this album, such beautiful pop music with a blend of other soulful genres Favorite track: Golden Hour.
    jfro29 thumbnail
jfro29 An amazing album, beautiful songs and performance. Something so compelling about it, an engaging calm? I'm not sure I have the useful words, but I feel very lucky to be able to listen to this. Favorite track: Minnie Says (Would You Be My).
    badgerworld thumbnail
badgerworld This came up on a bandcamp list of "best pop this summer" and, well, it did not disappoint. The production is beautiful; the intrumentation and arrangments incredibly lush and full of surprises; and the songwriting is full of wonderful harmonic misdirection. This is some real classy art right there. Favorite track: Take Me There.

  2. Sphären
    by Nahtrunar
    supported by
    H.L. thumbnail
H.L. NAHTRUNAR's sound, especially its clattering quality, strongly evokes the 90s; I'm thinking of Abigor's "Supreme Immortal Art." The songs on "Sphären," however, are more catchy, albeit epic. It took me two or three listens, but now I can immerse myself in the dense atmosphere of tracks like "Kreuz Isa" or "Ymirs prophetischer Traum" — particularly certain guitar parts and atmospheric textures are truly memorable! Favorite track: Ymirs prophetischer Traum.

    bbourgon thumbnail
bbourgon OM f'n G, this album is soooo impactful. I don't know how it flew under my radar for so long. This music is like nothing I've ever heard before. These musicians are creating art that feeds the mind and pummels the soul. The power in this music cannot be overstated.

Scott Bamford Saw this album played in full as a headline set at Damnation Festival in Manchester NOV 2024.
    Mind blowing stuff.
    garuda727 thumbnail
garuda727 This might be the best extreme metal album ever recorded. It is an absolute beast and the band accomplishes an entire career's worth of black AND death metal. A must-have for fans of brutal and heavy music. Favorite track: Lashed to the Grinder and Stoned to Death.

  5. Collection
    by Lumpy & The Dumpers
    supported by
    Burton thumbnail
Burton The Dumpers were something special. Disgusting and whimsical hardcore with distorted riffs that conjured thoughts of septic, filth, all things in the domain of Nurgle. The fun and love is so apparent in every song, and I've yet to find anything could compare in the ever growing tide of egg punk. What I wouldn't do to find myself in one of those naked mosh pits. <3 Lumpy, and all their dumpers. Favorite track: Sex Pit.

    lilmelville thumbnail
lilmelville a lot of people have skill, a lot of people have heart, and a lot of people have a good sense of the beautiful, but not a lot of people know how to open up a channel in themselves and let some mysterious force of nature pour through them. there's hardly a musician of his generation as all-around talented, inventive, and sophisticated as Michael S. Judge, and it shows on this album. Favorite track: Horror Vacui.
    Hardo thumbnail
Hardo You need good nerves to stand this. Awesome strange psychotic music.

whisker_tempo Quixote blew my mind growing up. To this day I listen to that track to remind myself of that understanding. What is that understanding? Listen to it. I would love to know what you think. Really.
    Nocturnal Egg (Jordan) thumbnail
Favorite track: Untitled.

A wonderfully balanced marriage of digital harshness and analogue saturation.

Its strange that it works so well as music for sleep.

Brent Davis A dream trio if there ever were!

Not jazz metal, but avant-jazz that provides what only dark/heavy music can (they who have ears to hear, let them hear)...

    🤘🖤🇿🇦✌️ Favorite track: Moleman.
    Frank Hardlic thumbnail
Frank Hardlic Music plays the musicians. This is the magic which happens when you have three artists in a room who listen to each other. Fantastic album! Favorite track: Moleman.

Danny S. Love the heights and depths, the many twists, the daring passages. Not an easy quick single listen, though. Too much here to take in in a quick moment.
