ExecutiveExecuter.exe It's one of the GREATEST Slam albums of the 2010s. Heavy grooves and slimy gutturals. Favorite track: 血块潮吹 A Blood Clot Ejaculation.

Jeffrey Shell This and Merzbild Schwet were (and remain) some of the biggest influences for me to start rubbing a couple of headphone wires together 30 years. I can't pass up another version of this. Finely crafted and more than a bit creepy. Favorite track: The Schmürz (Unsullied By Suckling).

Ushun probably the best extreme music to come out of China imo, incredible blend of thrash inspired mathcore black metal, looks like word vomit of genres that doesn't sound like they should go together but JL makes it work. This shit is PEAK Favorite track: Ἔκτρωμα.

Murphrygian Hoplites! This is an album that I had to come back to when my ears and my mind were ready for it. Now that they are, this is a stunning collection of riffs, layered like counterpoint, with a machine-like energy that persists for the entirety of the album. Highly recommended!

RJ Dense, extreme, aggressive, bludgeoning death/black metal. This album is intense to say the least. I think I prefer this release to their previous one (Ψ​ε​υ​δ​ο​μ​έ​ν​η); it's a little more approachable and has some filthy riffs here and there. 7/10 Favorite track: Ἔκτρωμα.

Ricardo Cristof Well, after listening to Death and Black Metal for over 35 years, it sometimes gets boring, even if bands try to innovate. But then you stumble upon an album, which immediately clicks: it fresh, but familiar. It’s emotional, intelligent and complex, but not for complexities’ sake. It flows, it works, it’s authentic.
This album is absolutely great, it’s all I want from this kind of music: cold soundscapes, raging fires, the embrace of darkness. 10/10

Obsidian One The spirit returns in one of the most important albums in recent metal history. 'Moss Covered Bones' at 8:01 — can you feel it? Krieger channels the fierce soul of his heritage, with echoes of generations of oppression and resilience, rising again through the raw, rebellious power of black metal, with stunning acoustic beauty as well. Do you see it? Do you hear it? Hail to the witch hawk and the force he brings to the scene. Favorite track: A Song of Death on Winds of Dawn.

I finally got this because I wanted something truthful and brilliant to pair with The Rime of Memory, and I inexplicably remembered that someone’s review of Blackbraid II had mentioned Panopticon. Thanks, Metallurgical Fire, I owe you! Favorite track: Moss Covered Bones on the Altar of the Moon.
