Metallurgical Fire This is arguably the most compositionally interesting and maturely written album the genre has seen. There is no shock value here at all, except for the quality of the songwriting and playing. It’s the Rush of black metal. Someone will inevitably put a post- or a -gaze on it. No need for that, although there are so many influences from other genres it’s hard to ignore. Favorite track: The Quiet Current.
    JDMP thumbnail
JDMP this is the sort of shit that just really hits you like a freight train. perhaps one of the best black metal acts to do it in recent times. and, to boot, does this record not sound like the impassioned cry of a world in pain?

Metalhamster This is going to be a classic, folks. Easily AOTY, likely one of the best BM albums of the decade.

armadalider I do adore the style Svrm creates his own lyrics, as well as the new rebirth he inhaled to the lyrics of Ukrainian poetry beginning of XX Century. There is so much resonance between the events of that past epoch and the nowadays because of Russian war in Ukraine and all those grief and despair for the lost lives and homes.
The album indeed, is a masterpiece. Favorite track: Останнє світло.

Ädäm Following "Englemakersken", this is the second strong album from the Norwegian band Ulvehyrde. A mid-tempo monster that will grab everyone by the horns!

Sascha / The Metal Grimoire With “A World Ablaze”, NAZGHOR revisit songs from their first three albums through darker, faster and more atmospheric re-recordings. Enhanced by clearer production, ritualistic choir synths and melancholic melodies, the album feels less like nostalgia and more like a powerful reinterpretation of the band’s past. Fans of classic Swedish melodic black metal should definitely check this out. Favorite track: Day of Sepulchral.

acaDamien Flat out amazing album. Real devastating and memorable riffs and melodies. Vocals that rumble and a bass that sounds like a charge. Drums that hold it all together. I am really loving this album. Favorite track: Within Crimson Kingdom.
