With galloping riffs & relentless drumming throughout, these guys still go very much their own way & don't negotiate & stand out from the crowd! This is borne out in the lyrics (those available) as well! It is not necessarily an easy listen but, if you are willing to make time, I guarantee you will be rewarded... :) Love every track! Highly recommended!!!

I really dig this album. It's production reminds me of some of my favorite death metal albums during its time.

I really dig some of the grooves in this album. Some of it reminds me of old Machine Head. Heck, even some of the harmonizing vibrato sections give some old school melodic death metal vibes.

The lyrics are relatable, touching on personal struggles, faith, and perseverance.

Highly recommended! Favorite track: Awakening.

Exceptional songwriting and riffs and exceptional vocals make this a modern classic, the best Cruel Force album to date, this really nails it. Akhorahil the best speed metal band ever, hands down. and somehow they topped at the dawn of the axe. KEEPING THE TRUE OLD SCHOOL METAL SPIRIT ALIVE WITH HANEDA (ps whips a swingin, sword of iron, and crystal skull are neck and neck with warlords for my favorite) Favorite track: Warlords.

Adam Cohen 'Dawn of the Axe' was already an amazing album from Cruel Force and they somehow managed to top that with 'Haneda'. Top tier modern thrash metal that feels timeless, authentic and leaves a nostalgic and affirming impression. So many epic and memorable hooks throughout that remind me of why I started listening to metal so many years ago. This will undoubtedly be one of my favorite albums of 2026. Absolutely essential listening!

Sacred Ash Melody, atmosphere, and Kirkwood's genius on display. The transition from On the Edge of Reason to the Epitaph For A Dying City is slick and the melody for Epitaph (1 and 2) is one of my favorites in all DS/FS (even if it is more proto-DS) Favorite track: Epitaph For A Dying City Pt1.

Nocturnal Egg (Jordan) Dans Master of Dragons, chapitre final de la trilogie du Héros éternel, la monture cracheuse de feu trouve enfin la force de quitter l'atmosphère et entre pleinement dans la sphère cosmique. Pour confirmer le fait que le retour en arrière ne sera pas possible, Jim Kirkwood divise son album en deux parties distinctes. Le dungeon synth se fait plus ambiant et utilise de magnifiques textures synthwave. À mesure qu'il s'élève, il rencontre oiseaux stellaires puis chérubins. C'est un nouveau monde...
