drsayuss The heart break, the love, the grief. All the emotions you feel when you listen to this album. Truly part of the holy trinity of Gorillaz albums and it came to me in a time when I needed it most. This album is truly top 3 albums of all time for me. You won’t regret listening to it. Favorite track: The Sweet Prince (feat. Ajay Prasanna, Johnny Marr and Anoushka Shankar).

zinagi A different direction that was needed for listeners. The right direction where we are all headed. Favorite track: Orange County (feat. Bizarrap, Kara Jackson and Anoushka Shankar).

ratmachine398 This album feels like driving home from the hospital late at night after a loved one has died. Might be because that's what it's about?

Another great release by The Twilight Sad. Favorite track: ATTEMPT A CRASH LANDING - THEME.
    DAS VILLAIN thumbnail
DAS VILLAIN I sympathize with The Twilight Sad of losing a family member. I lost my father to cancer in 2017 and my mom of respiratory failure in 2018. This album is the band's way of coping with their loss that delves into the synthpop / darkwave /shoegaze side. It's never easy losing a loved one-as I still mourn them, but it gets easier-where The Twilight Sad helps ease one's pain as they ease there own. Favorite track: DESIGNED TO LOSE.

DAS VILLAIN TFF were always one of those interesting bands that bridged the divide between their (dark) post-punk/synthpop/New Wave beginnings and their later 'progressive pop' machinations. I love both eras of TFF (as a fan for over 40 years), but this album displays both eras in a flawless release that includes a beautiful live performance that shows a band always ahead of the game while staying grounded to their roots. Favorite track: Sowing The Seeds Of Love (Live From Franklin, TN).
    Jeff Kuhns thumbnail
Jeff Kuhns Fantastic live album proves they still have it!
    Brian Matthews thumbnail
Brian Matthews I didn't expect TFF to surprise me again, but they managed it with the achingly beautiful arrangement of Suffer the Children followed by the (sadly) still modern anthem of Woman in Chains. Badman's Song was a joyous jazzy ride until "the scream". Never mind, I forgive you.

    TFF clears the sky again
(and what a great band! great show!) Favorite track: Astronaut.
