scott Compared to all the other releases by this band, this is a truly mediocre release.

jasonsumm Eerie, largely dark AF, sprinkles of hope. Favorite track: Killed the Lord, Left for the New World.
    Terrence Falconer thumbnail
Terrence Falconer Back in 2020, when a spiritual experience opened up to me, the sky in the village where I lived was covered in smoke due to the fervent local forest fires. This spiritual experience now associates with these fires somehow, and it was a pinnacle of my life from which I'm only falling down as of now. The smoke represents a stage of transformation, it's a calamity indeed, but every calamity is a phase of transformation Favorite track: Communal Blood.

Leterren Surprise hit at the end of 2024 that quickly shot to my shortlist for AOTY. A little Gojira, a little The Ocean, a little Meshuggah, a lot fresh new thing Favorite track: Vitrun.

bobtek85 This track popped up on Spotify in a random stoner mix. Loved it instantly! Favorite track: Exosekeleton.
    thehairybadger26 thumbnail
thehairybadger26 I saw these guy's twice this year and each time they blew me away, they literally tore the underworld down at London Desertfest, the powerful vocals and heavy riffing sounds, just pure energy and what a stage presence. This album builds on the promise of the first, some brilliant tracks that get your head pumping. Favorite track: RA.

    Sean Wickenheisser thumbnail
Sean Wickenheisser I recommend Outrun the Sunlight to everyone. I always love their guitar tones and songwriting. This album has the best use of a motif I've heard. Whenever it pops up, it has a different feeling to it so doesn't get repetitive. When I heard it in Luminous Stillness it made me more emotional than any other music has done in a long time. Favorite track: Luminous Stillness.
    James Knoerl thumbnail
James Knoerl I love this band so much and it's so exciting to hear how much they have matured over the years. Love all these dudes so much.
    Joe thumbnail
Joe Sounds amazing, can't wait for the full album release!
    chuckles304 thumbnail
chuckles304 Meat-and-potatoes post-rock with some djent gravy. In no way is that a diss; these guys are a well-oiled machine and have grown since Red Bird. While some may find it repetitive or corny I appreciated the reprise of the melody from the opener "Awareness" on "Luminous Stillness" and "A Vast Field of Silence". Recommended for fans of Innerverse, Distant Dream, and Widek. Favorite track: Awareness.
