_oyasumi_ A solid album with plenty of re-playability down the road. Well worth the change. Rest well Tomas, thankyou sir.
    thekurtaction thumbnail
thekurtaction This is an excellent album anyway but knowing the circumstances it was recorded under adds another layer of meaning. Some of the lyrics are haunting. Favorite track: The Dissonant Void.
    Christopher Martin thumbnail
Christopher Martin I rarely ever listen to Metal music anymore, but seeing a new At The Gates release and also being the final work of the late Tomas Lindberg I of course had to give it a listen. Arguably, in my opinion, their best album ever, and I never thought they would be able to outdo Slaughter of the Soul. RIP Tompa † Favorite track: Tomb Of Heaven.

smudge216 Yes. Very good. Very much a fan of this.

I hadn't heard of them before this, so will be expanding my knowledge at some stage Favorite track: Epitaph.
    gatko thumbnail
gatko One hell of a versatile band. Alex does a phenomenal job and she's a welcome addition to the band's ever-evolving sound, I love her strong presence all throughout! Definitely more of an electronic influence on this album out of all the previous ones, but nonetheless they manage to incorporate that influence flawlessly with metal. Wonderful work, possibly my favorite album from Make Them Suffer! Clearly deserves that self-title spot. Favorite track: Small Town Syndrome.
    David Fischer thumbnail
David Fischer Four years have passed since their last album, and Make Them Suffer has been through some shit. Yet, they sound stronger than ever. Alex is a great addition to the band, her vocals complementing Sean's very well. The songs are feral, choruses big and bright - and the electronics oftentimes (e.g. Doomswitch, Epitaph) unhinged, ever so often entering glitchy, cyberpunk territory. This might be their best release to date, time will tell. It's definitively a highly impressive one, elite stuff! Favorite track: Epitaph.

  3. Heartwork (Full Dynamic Range Edition)
    by Carcass
    supported by
Sascha / The Metal Grimoire thumbnail
Sascha / The Metal Grimoire absolutly classic Death Metal album! I also love Necrotisism but "Heartwork" has a special spot in my heart,... countless awesome songs like especially This mortal Coil, the titletrack "Hearwork" or No Love lost, Carnal Forge.... Carcass went again more in the melodic with this album, while Necrotisism was yet very melodic,... but they kept aggressive with some blastbeats and a aggressive vibe in the songs... awesome! Favorite track: This Mortal Coil.
    Hell_For_Breakfast thumbnail
Hell_For_Breakfast Classic Carcass — saw the vinyl was available so I had to pick it up and add to my collection. Favorite track: No Love Lost.
    mr_sippycup thumbnail
mr_sippycup A classic. The album guitar tone that spawned countless copycats... for better or worse. Favorite track: Heartwork.

Michael Chris is using the force. Often likened to a young Anakin Skywalker in dealing absolutes. "You're either with me or against me." Trapt has more than one song and used to be adored by nu-metal fans. Often compared to Breaking Benjamin, Lost Prophets, Taproot, Acroma, and stuff like that. Let me mention Skrape, Adema, V Shape Mind, and From Zero too. I never saw Trapt live. I've seen music videos. Stand Up, Bring It, and Sound Off are a few of their better known singles. A Depeche Mode cover too. Favorite track: Policy of Truth.

    Murphrygian thumbnail
Murphrygian Being a lifelong Pantera fan, I am always excited when I find a band that seems to follow their influence (also obvious Metallica influences too). This album is their best work, IMO. Favorite track: Open Eye.
    QuarkStorm thumbnail
