Kim Gordon is awesome and after her 3rd solo effort, she can do no wrong! I love her fusion of hip hop, trap, grime, and alternative/indie/noise rock proves Kim is pure brilliance!
Favorite track: NO HANDS.

Kim Gordon has three solo albums I've listened to (No Home Record, The Collective, PLAY ME) that have been these musical experiences I just stand by going through.

Love how Kim's work just keeps evolving and getting even better with time - which is saying a lot since she's been making incredible music for decades.

there's a lot of vaguely current cultural references in this weird collage, and all of those references will be gone with the passage of time. the time to listen is now.

It's impossible to choose a favorite song on this album, but I Will is probably the one that's slayed me emotionally the most.

Got me through some hard times. The lyrics on here are phenomenal, even 8 years later. The instrumentals made navigating the storm so much easier by shaping it to look like a liminal space lol. Thank you, KKB <33

I continue to come back this album throughout several shifts in musical taste and appreciation for music. Through it all this project stands, giving me different opportunities to understand the the themes more and resonate with them even harder. heartemoji

The whole album just really does it for me. Idk if most people would get it but the technique behind this is so forceful while remaining subtle. Simple but inexhaustible. Sometimes things just work.
