    thekurtaction thumbnail
thekurtaction Great concept for an album. Some of the collaborations add another level to Aborted's brand of over-the-top deathgrind. This is music for the gym and the moshpit. Favorite track: Dreadbringer (feat. Shadow Of Intent).
    BirdOfHermes83 thumbnail
BirdOfHermes83 A guest appearance on each track?
    Fucking yes please!
Aborted is fucking nuts! Favorite track: The Shape Of Hate (feat. Oliver Rae Aleron).
    Bart thumbnail
Bart Amazing merging of slam and tech death. You know with Aborted, it's going to be relentless brutality with riffs bouncing in all directions. It's disconcerting in all the best ways. Favorite track: Death Cult (feat. Despised Icon).

Metallurgical Fire One of the heaviest and loudest albums ever made. If you need to get hyped up for a challenge, then this is the music for you! Prepare for a pummeling. Favorite track: Bludgeoned by Deformity.

    mourner thumbnail
mourner The most heavy and epic album from Hail of Bullets but maybe also the least dynamic one. But still way ahead of the concurrence. Favorite track: Kamikaze.
    fashionable feline thumbnail
fashionable feline Odd to say for a death metal album: this album evokes are lot of emotional tones because my grandfather fought in WWII in the Pacific Theater against the Japanese. For an American who experienced the war he had a lot of respect for the culture and fighting spirit of the Japanese. Favorite track: On Coral Shores.

    dothacnt PHENOMENAL, PUMMELLING.
Expert musicianship, great song writing, unique subject matter. I really luv this album. Feels like a concept album, keeps you engaged the whole way through. Favorite track: Quarantine Fortress.
    liam joyce thumbnail
liam joyce Balls to the wall badassery. Might seem like simple brutality at first, but there's so much more going on here. Gets better with every listen.
So crushingly sick. Favorite track: Dominus.

    VAST DEFERENS thumbnail
VAST DEFERENS I'll take the riffs on "Nuklearth" over its predecessor, but this is a fine death metal LP on its own. Favorite track: Chernopolis.
    Robin thumbnail
    Robin Crazy brutal/tech death album.
Fast as hell, but also brings these nasty neckbreaker riffs.
FFO: Brain Drill, Archspire, Aborted Favorite track: Radiatus Generis.
    christ_off_ thumbnail
christ_off_ Reminds me of Metro game and my Trip to Чорнобиль exclusion zone Favorite track: Chernopolis.

Kris Faust Immolation is synonymous with consistency, technical prowess, ferocity, and monumental songwriting. Descent is no exception. Real contender for album of the year.
    eManRenaissanc thumbnail
eManRenaissanc My favorite band, still thriving 40 years in. There's no one else like 'em. Just ordered the vinyl and had to buy the BC version too, of course.
    KenshirO thumbnail
KenshirO Crushingly heavy, oppressive and filled with a dark epic sound that many death metal bands could never hope to achieve. Tops even Acts Of God. Fantastic production and some of their best work ever. I recommend listening to it with a pair of Heavys 🎧 on. It will make your testicles explode Favorite track: Attrition.

    Urso X thumbnail
Urso X I already own this dm masterpiece “elsewhere”, but after listening to Belexum’s superb debut EP (and in anticipation of Immolation’s new album coming April 10), I just had to add AoG to my BC collection.

I also wish to express my solidarity with Rumpel Vim’s review, which is one of the most spot-on comments I’ve ever read on BC and the only one here that properly recognizes this music’s value/significance as a cultural counterweight to rabid fundagelical Christianity.

HAIL IMMOLATION! 🔥💀🤘 Favorite track: Noose Of Thorns.
    v.v thumbnail
v.v Hits the sweet spot between proper death metal brutality, melody and catchy song writing.
Their signature style is instantly recognizable and it's as great as ever!
    Obsidian One thumbnail
Obsidian One Coming after their massive release, Atonement, I was probably expecting too much from Acts Of God. While it has its moments and I still enjoy the album, it didn't resonate with me as much as many of their earlier releases — probably more a reflection of my shifting musical tastes than the music itself. That said, 'Overtures Of The Wicked' has a killer opening riff, and 'And The Flames Wept', while different from their usual style, evokes a deep sense of sorrow and solitude.
