    cybercrasherstv thumbnail
cybercrasherstv almost gave up on this album in the first minute. but i wanted to give it a chance due it's incredible cover. i am so thankful i did, this is amazing music. it's the electronic music equivalent to a cartoon character looking through a kitchen drawer to find something, and throwing appliances and dishes out of the drawer to find the thing they actually want. this album really makes you feel like wille' cayote trying to find something in an acme crate Favorite track: psychedelic trance.
    Peter Hollo thumbnail
Peter Hollo I'd buy this twice, if I knew how.
My favourite bit is "Rio De Janero (sic)". Oh, the music? I didn't realise it... oh! I also like the music, which is dizzyingly great. As usual. Favorite track: mutant hell fishing.
    Cardian Matsu thumbnail
Cardian Matsu Endlessly complex and unrepentantly unwilling to engage with anyone other than on the level its putting itself forward with. Tones and stabs flicker in and then slide just out of reach as you're starting to understand what a track is doing.

Even with some pretty dense song lengths, you can't really fully appreciate what any of these are doing without giving it a twice over. Maybe a thrice over? It's really hard to tell.

If you like any/every flavor of breaks and hardcore, take a listen. Favorite track: subwoofer reconfiguration techniques.

    Caligari thumbnail
Caligari La la love it. Favorite track: Lieday.
    Gyldaria Tanogen thumbnail
Gyldaria Tanogen Heavily noisy, dirty, and ambitious - quite a departure from their previous records - but Anamanaguchi all the same. This is some truly high energy music that has super anthemy lyrics that are sure to excite for decades to come. An almost romantic basement-punk type aesthetic with soaring excitement. Very nice to hear chiptune synths in behind it all!

'Cause nothing comes out of nowhere!! Favorite track: Sapphire.
    grimmthewanderer thumbnail
grimmthewanderer Back-to-back bangers, an unforgettable listening party, the return of Anamanaguchi...so many great things about Anyway! What I love most is it's a window into the 90s-00s, but it's not bittersweet or sappy. It's more like, "Hey remember that one time? That was awesome." It honors the past but also sounds like a couple of friends who are having fun in the present and hopeful for the future. Let's get these guys into the next Batman movie!

P.S.: ty for the free watermelon airheads polyvinyl <3 Favorite track: Buckwild.

    coda thumbnail
coda Listened to openfield while watching a beautiful sunrise this morning on the bus, just stunning and yet so simple. The entire album has this organic yet inorganic tone to it, like you’re walking through moss-covered forests lit by CRT monitors. Favorite track: openfield.
    queasy abies ! thumbnail
queasy abies ! greenhouse was the alias that got me into halley labs. this is among my most listened to albums of all time. its just wonderful. Favorite track: radiokids.
    springsuns thumbnail
springsuns while the whole album is a great musical journey, the final 2 tracks sell the whole thing for me. the way minus ends with a powerful organ performance, one that sounds like it has existed for hundreds of years, only to be interrupted by harsh radio static until the song abruptly ends. right after, the somber track openfield plays and provides a finale to the album. MMM. good shit. Favorite track: minus.
