Matthew Black metal perfection. Blends elements of old Immortal, Inquisition and Wolves in the Throne Room for a raw, atmospheric and frostbitten journey to Hyperborea. Favorite track: Purged of All Southern Influence.
    Meatbreak thumbnail
Meatbreak Unreal new album of mighty warrior caste black metal from Iron Firmament. A vivid world of raw melodicism and explorative atmospherics on an epic scale.

Love the Bruce Pennington artwork and landscape j-card design too.

Favorite track: Blue Blades Flame and Crimson.

Dumb mmmn you think that thing makes sloppy joe's?
    Owen thumbnail
Owen In my opinion this is the best Necrot album yet. The riffs are on point, the songwriting is as catchy as ever and it just rips. Excellent release. Favorite track: Superior.

tiernan ^▿^ Some amazing modern black metal with gorgeous melodies and riffs. Really cool guitar tone. Also has some Deathspell Omega influence, and a mathy Converge-esque sound which makes it really unique and exciting! Definitely something you won't forget in a hurry. 8/10

    positronicping thumbnail
positronicping Occulsed have a crafted a sick sound here - it's cavernous death metal that's been sonically squeezed through the gap between an eldritch horror's teeth. And those murky vocals sound like they were recorded by a wraith in heavy fog. Awesome. Favorite track: Heinous Pulse.
    Ghuughra thumbnail
Ghuughra Oh sh*t, oh f*ck. Occulsed is BACK!

2025 has been a terrible year in most ways, but d*mn if it hasn't been a great year for metal releases.

OSDM is honestly better when played by dudes that sound like they could only 85% their own songs on Guitar Hero. And Occulsed sure do aspire to be those guys.

Stay disgusting my friends. A.I. could never replicate your specific flavor of jank. Favorite track: Cudgel Of Antimatter.

Brent Davis my favourite recording yet, from L.A.-R. - truly exceptional!

imagine a musical adaptation of a dark fantasy/ sword & sorcery novel that has powerful feminist themes informed by depth psychology...
