    by Louie Zong
    supported by
    frogfirefantasy thumbnail
frogfirefantasy I've fallen asleep to this album more times than I can count. It's serene, and beautiful, and contemplative. Like sunlight streaming through the leaves, the perfect soundtrack to just appreciate nature. Favorite track: Butterfly Pavilion.
    archonic7 thumbnail
archonic7 Learning East Coast Hymn right now. The last lesson that I took with my piano teacher, I showed him this song, and he seemed to be taken aback by how innovative the piece was without losing that warm, emotional touch. I’m happy that I was able to create another Zonghead
    consigliere_11 thumbnail

  1. The Fear of Never Landing
    by Marconi Union
    featured track 00:00/00:00
Eight Miles High Alone Eight Miles High Alone
    supported by
    Gary Figueroa thumbnail
Gary Figueroa I must let this album play at least once a day since discovering it prior to my purchase. Brilliant EM as only Marconi Union can conjure up in the studio. It is in the seamless flow of the tracks that makes for such a rewarding listen along with an accessibility that is sometimes lacking in EM musicians and their artistic output. -@daFigz™ Favorite track: Cloud Surfing.
    rubén rodrigo thumbnail
rubén rodrigo Perfect music for a road trip, walking down the airport, or just driving home late at night after a long day at work. Sounds that dance along through the headphones to the ears while waiting for the start of surgery.
    We travel.
    Ruben. Favorite track: In Motion.
    Jon Nelson thumbnail
Jon Nelson Marconi Union seem to have outdone themselves again. I can't express in words how warm and inspiring this album is to me. It feels like lying on my back in a grassy field and daydreaming into my own mind for an hour. A perfect album. Favorite track: Through The Heat Waves.

  2. Assiégé Pour l'Éternité
    by Véhémence
    featured track 00:00/00:00
De Célestes Cavalcades De Célestes Cavalcades
    supported by
    sashavonkarl74 thumbnail
sashavonkarl74 Très bon travail, Léon! As usual, the mastermind behind this and many other acts (Hyver, Grylle, Paydretz, Tour d'Ivoire ...) supported by his label (Antiq), are excellent French BM releases that you may not want to skip, especially if harsh BM sung in French is your kink! A bit more variety here, but with outstanding guitar work, as always! Favorite track: En Quête du Graal.
    Ippocalyptica thumbnail
Ippocalyptica Sometimes, you move forward by looking backwards. This is a remake of Assiégé and you can tell that it sits outside of time when listened to in 2026, which is oddly its greatest asset as melodic black metal is not made like this any more. While Véhémence will likely never surpass the insane rollercoaster that is Par Le Sang Versé, this album will always occupy a special place in the sub-genre. There is an infectious enthusiasm here that cannot be denied. Worth getting, after Par Le Sang Versé!
    eggbabysupremacy thumbnail
eggbabysupremacy Been waiting for new Véhémence for years. Purchased without hesitation. 2 minutes in and...it's a redux of Assiégé! Amazing! Always loved that first album and now it is reborn! Hails Véhémence!

    by ULTHA
    featured track 00:00/00:00
Love As We're Falling Down Love As We're Falling Down

    Jono Schneider thumbnail
Jono Schneider Few records go as far and as deep as this one. It covers the entire universe. Favorite track: Love As We're Falling Down.
    sellingaim thumbnail
sellingaim To be fair, i have not been into black metal for that long now, but out of all things i have heard so far, this is by far the most unique.
Pairing black metal with punk elements while still keeping it ambient all at the same time is a feat off its own, and to do it this masterfully definetely deserves all the praise. Favorite track: Pink Lights Soiling To Copper.
    Ryan Johanson thumbnail
Ryan Johanson I've spent the last several years quietly wondering to myself what a black metal/post-punk hybrid would sound like, or if such a thing would even make sense.

This is exactly the sound I was imagining, brought to life before my very ears. Favorite track: Sister Faith & Sister Chance.

  4. Sidings

    yoyoshi thumbnail
yoyoshi I cannot descriibe how much emotions I have when I listen to Craven Faults. This album is even more intense as the others. Sometimes I wonder how am I able to feel such things from just soundwaves, but I can.
It is a pleasure. Thanks for your work. It's pure art. Favorite track: Drover Hole Sike.
    ja_kub_sz thumbnail
ja_kub_sz There is a grand disposition to Craven Faults. Sound given space becomes physical presence. Sidings jettisons between journey and destination dissolving the barrier between each passage of its telling. Every moment is both place and time, past and present, and the sound and soul of your beating heart. This may just be his best work to date! Favorite track: Three Loaning End.
    Féfouille thumbnail
Féfouille Une plongée qui invite l'éphémère à se voir revenir en boucle. Une macération, une éclosion. Favorite track: Stoneyman.

  5. The Way of Time
    by Biosphere
    featured track 00:00/00:00
Time Of Man Time Of Man
    supported by
    nonroot thumbnail
nonroot This hits the sweet spot of recently released ambient. Evocative and powerful.
    Obsidian One thumbnail
Obsidian One Ethereal and hypnotic, at times reminiscent of Boards of Canada ("Like the End of the World" reminds me of "White Cyclosa"). This is a mysterious ambient work that transports me to a wonderful space. The tracks flow together effortlessly, though the first three stand out especially. "Time of Man" is pure magic, and the voice samples are soothing. This is one of my top 2025 purchases, and I come back to it whenever I need to step outside this world of time and space. Favorite track: Time Of Man.
    John Richey thumbnail
John Richey This is just wonderful. Thanks.
