Mouth of Gravel Their debut album from three years ago is one of my top ten favorite rock records of all time. Already have the digital from the Ripple subscription but I will absolutely be purchasing this on vinyl as well. Shadow of Jupiter is on permanent “must buy” status.

There’s several records I’m looking forward to this year, but nothing hyped me up like a new SoJ release! Can’t wait to hear the full thing dudes!

    Awesome band!
Incredible album, I highly recommend it!
    Stephen Huerta thumbnail
Stephen Huerta Wow!, this is amazing, Vinnum Sabbathi have definitely outdone themselves. I can’t wait to see them perform these tracks live. This is one band I am truly proud of. I’ve met them personally in Mexico City, and consider them “mi hermanos”. Favorite track?, no!, the whole EP is my favorite, “good job you guys”. Good luck on your upcoming European tour, hopefully Guadalajara will be next, a four hour bus trip for me, I’ll be there.

Ioannis Valiakos Riff after riff, Neon Warship will melt your face! Tasty grooves and melodies with equal doses of Helmet and COC, the layers of this album unfold and flow like warm bourbon on a weary man's throat. Don't just listen to this album, enjoy it! Favorite track: Weather Breeder.

  1. ELIMINATOR EP
    by RUBY THE HATCHET
    supported by
    Erik Gordier thumbnail
Erik Gordier Ruby the Hatchet are possibly the grooviest stoner rock around right now. Favorite track: Paralyzed.
    Kirk Gauthier thumbnail
Kirk Gauthier The band’s second release and the beginning of their path down the long, dark road of brooding doom rock. These songs are heavy as hell and kick an unusually large amount of ass, and it really sets the stage for their sophomore album, Valley of the Snake. For most bands, non-album singles are fun forays and unusually nonessential, but Ruby the Hatchet isn’t “most bands”…. Favorite track: Eliminator.
    J. Wukotich thumbnail
    J. Wukotich Super cool. More great stuff from Ruby The Hatchet, which does not surprise me in the least. Fantastic band.

    Alrihkh thumbnail
Alrihkh I find the gifted vocals of Fernando reminiscent of Mikael Åkerfeldt (both harsh & clean) ~ love those sustained, catlike screeches ~ and the music explores a very satisfying range of styles and expression; transitioning very well from soothing undulations to intense, white water experiences. Album concept & lyrics are inspiring and original; a tale well told. Outstanding guitar & drum work. This album is a treasure found. Wholeheartedly recommended! Long live BTH! Thanks, guys! 9/10. Favorite track: Chapter 4 - The Hidden Puppeteer.
    baudelagon thumbnail
baudelagon Un album assez difficile d'accès du fait des nombreuses périodes musicales qui s'enchaînent sans refrain ou motif répétitif le plus souvent. Mais le tout est vraiment de qualité. - 3/5 Favorite track: Chapter 6 - Lost Wanderer.
    Kenstrosity thumbnail
Kenstrosity Incredible prog metal that I would never know existed were it not for Borderlands 3. Emotional, poignant, and full of wondrous instrumental detail, there is no filler to be found here. Nothing but top notch music for which everyone should lose their minds. Buy it. Favorite track: Chapter 6 - Lost Wanderer.

davidherrold I'm not sure why, but listening to Luring Alluring Rings just feels uplifting and good - like you just climbed a mountain and are breathing fresh air for the first time. Favorite track: Luring Alluring Rings.
    clover_groom thumbnail
clover_groom The Twitch jam sessions these songs were born from helped me get through the darkest early days of the Covid pandemic. They were a shining light for us all to gather 'round and feel safe from the cold world for a while.

    intothelungsofhell666 thumbnail
intothelungsofhell666 As FDJ said, I cant help but compare this to baroness... Think the harsher vocals of red and blue era, along with dueling lead guitars, and even breaks/drum parts... Whether that band is an influence, be it accident or on purpose... Doesn't matter, these guys are their own band and I love this album!!!!!! I'll be following them on BC, awaiting more awesomeness!!!! DCLXVI.. Favorite track: Into Black Resolution.
    Damon Morgan thumbnail
Damon Morgan Heard about these guys on the Doomed and Stoned preview for the Ohio Doomfest and it was sitting in my wishlist for a minute.

This release crushes from the opening riffs. Thin Lizzy meets Truckfighters with a dose of Mastodon for sure.

A little late to the game on these guys, but better late than never.

This does not disappoint. Favorite track: Psalm of Kingsfall.
    Marcin Wielewski thumbnail
Marcin Wielewski Top 1 of 2016! One of the albums that change my mind, and my taste of music. Maximum power + heavy fucking riffs + deepthroat vocals + great songwriting equals MASTERPIECE! BEST stoner metal I've heard in my life! Favorite track: A Newfound Purity.
