robotman627 Although there’s always been a stigma against video game music. This soundtrack is one that stands out protest that stigma. Fusing jazz, orchestra, and military elements, this soundtrack is constantly changing genres and styles to make for a very entertaining and memorable listen the whole way through. One of the finest soundtracks to one of the finest (and one of my favorite) video games. Favorite track: Archimedes.

Hays Dowdy I love the immediacy of this record. It's full of visceral hooks and grooves that make you want to dance in the desert, combined with some of Josh Homme's best lyrics and vocals. Head Like A Haunted House stands toe to toe with any of their darkest, raw tracks, I love the lyricism of Fortress, and adding Villains of Circumstance to the recent Catacombs album feels like a deliberate decision because it's one of Josh's best vocal melodies.

FinnishGamer I love the ruggedness of this album. It's not everyone's favorite, and I can understand why, given their previous work, but this one holds a special place in my heart, and I find that I listen to this more than the other albums.

And as rugged as I described it to be, It definitely shows Josh Homme's lyrical talent, as well as the whole band's ability to create mesmerizing riffs and melodies.

You need to listen to the album more than once to really make up your mind about this album.

Xtra Happy Villains has always been a bit of a toss-up of opinions for me. It was around the time it came out I started listening to Queens, thus being fresh at the time and, to my memory, one of the first "new" albums I'd heard upon release. Standing next to other Queens albums, its slower pace in the back half is a tad different sure, but I'd hope with time people's initial disputes with it have since mellowed, as well as the realisation that LC was one *hell* of an act to follow. Favorite track: Fortress.
