  1. De Kronieken Van Het Verdwenen Kasteel - II - Nergena
    by FLUISTERAARS
    supported by
    rvss.eel thumbnail
rvss.eel And DKVHVK is back - in yellow! While not a standout two-tracker on its own, it does make up a nice middle section of the trilogy when consumed as a whole. The opening makes me question my assumption that this will be another set in which the first song emphasizes the aggression while the second brings the atmosphere. But the riff hits, and it doesn't disappoint. However, it eventually slows, and my assumption is proven wrong. De Mystiek... is another great balance of what Fluisteraars offer. Favorite track: De Maan, Zon van de Doden.

atlasmn22 Please release Kasteel III! I can't wait, the first 2 are killer! Favorite track: De Mystiek Rondom de Steen des Hamers.
    Richard Bendall thumbnail
Richard Bendall Spellbinding Black Metal that could only come from a place like the Netherlands. Somehow majestic and noble while vicious and savage. Take me there, to the windy shore and ruined tower that lies hidden amongst the scree..... Favorite track: De Maan, Zon van de Doden.

𝖑𝖊𝖔 I had to drop a review after seeing this incredible band live recently, it gave me new appreciation for the record. A masterpiece from start to finish, true shamanic black metal. ¡El Invunche es real!
    Favorite track: Últimos Días.
    isengardcast thumbnail
isengardcast Una joya de principio a fin, melodías, agresividad, misticismo e identidad.. mucha identidad!
un honor poder oír y sentir este arte. nos representa a las tierras andinas. Favorite track: Antü.

bmurator Chilean / Dutch Black Metal / Punk. A one man, El Invunche or Martin Valenzuela. Sung in Spanish & with very interesting lyrics! This is quite raw BM but not in the usual way & this is where the Punk comes in & gives it that special force & edge that BM does not usually have! I am loving it... :) Every song & all the way! Maybe not for every day but this is a repeater & totally addictive for sure! Clearly no faves! Highly recommended!!!

skalick06 Teitanbloods best work in my opinion. If bloodborne was an album this would be it.
    pier79 thumbnail
pier79 Simply devastating, a merciless journey into the most brutal sonic violence, made with absolute awareness and mastery of their own craft
    GMurphrygian thumbnail
GMurphrygian It takes interesting minds to create these bleak soundscapes from scratch in a rehearsal. Kudos to these evil geniuses!

    lithobius thumbnail
lithobius This album exemplifies why I've been following Drudkh since Blood in Our Wells.

arresting, haunting, solitude together. fog rising into mist above the mountains. the tedium and struggle of daily life, with the scent of freedom on the wind. Distant.... yet... Favorite track: The Thirst.
    vojev thumbnail
vojev There's a fierce urgency in "Shadow Play" that black metal albums often lack. One feels like it's written by men who are running out of time at any moment, but despite that, there's a true sense of defiance that keeps it from being despairing. One of my favorite albums this year. Favorite track: April.
    Dr Sküllfük thumbnail
Dr Sküllfük Simultaneously captures the hypnotic atmosphere of Drudkh's first two releases while sounding completley fresh, a definite highlight for 2025. Favorite track: The Exile.

lapinhelvetti69 A total humdinger of an album! The production is superb too, really gives it that griminess and trudginess this band is already known for, but amped up even higher! Forever united, reigning above. Favorite track: I Reek of Old Alcohol.
    Zomm thumbnail
Zomm Sounds like the life story of a black metal heroin addicted tramp. Dark, grotty and messed up. Superb. Favorite track: I Reek of Old Alcohol.

seanbags For those of you saying it's muddy or has poor mixing in some way, you're wrong! This album is perfectly balanced and sounds great, on both vinyl and digital. I'll be honest, at first, I also thought there was a mixing issue, but after several spins, it clicked. I think you guys just simply haven't given it enough playthrough sessions or are simply not yet ready for this level of madness. The question is, do you have the stomach for this level of brutality? Very thankful listener!

jordan Sounds like a portal to hell opened up and barfed out its contents all at once. Delectably overwhelming and awesome.
