angrypizza98 A masterpiece of slowcore. Sometimes the slower parts are even heavier then the loud and abrasive ones. Such an emotional rollercoaster that rivals the best slowcore has to offer as a genre.
    10/10 Favorite track: Old star.
    bubd thumbnail
bubd 10/10 album. I don't even understand how you make something like this, even taking into account obvious influences like Talk Talk or Low. The chords are weird, the phrasing of the drums is weird, the guitar ambience is weird, and the songs are so slow the structures are practically imperceptible. The slowness gets to the dreamlike pacing of drone metal but without being fuzzed out and also somehow with a drummer, which feels like it should not be possible. also it's sad as hell 💯💯💯 Favorite track: Hiding to crash.

SeanOceide Absolute legend and revolutionary concertina player! Favorite track: To War (Jig).
    benhockenberry thumbnail
benhockenberry Alternately ferocious and sensitive, this album digs into the rhythmic and harmonic possibilities of the concertina. There's pyrotechnics, for sure (the air-button solo on To War!) but there's also a beautiful, lyrical approach to a number of slow pieces, with interweaving lines of countermelody -- he's anything but a one-trick pony. Among my favorite solo trad albums. Favorite track: To War (Jig).
    jadearama thumbnail
jadearama There's albums that re-define the edges of the tradition and change it forever. Lonesome Touch by Hayes & Cahill was one of them.... 'B' is another.
Stonking good rhythm that makes me rethink every tune I play or want to play in the future Favorite track: Rolling in the Barrel / O'Neill's March / Tralee Jail.
