Warangelic One of my favourite releases of July 2026, and quite possibly, of the year as well.

Brett (Lascaille's Shroud / Soulmass) Quite possibly their best album yet. A pillar of the dissodeath scene for me, this band keeps getting better. Favorite track: The Black Sun.

sakrifilth This one is hard to ignore. Pissed black metal at its peak. Favorite track: Kali Yuga (Age of Iron).

Urso X An aural machine gun pummelling you with spit & nails. Fantastic!!!

Josh Buckley Well this just popped out of nowhere and I love it!!! Definitely a bit Melodic and has some really good riffs. Even a little proggy on No Way to Heaven.

Kellen_____ Wow, this is dense. It'll take several listens to dissect, but this album has my full attention. Great atmosphere, groovy riffs, and some fun surprises. Good pacing, great mix. Would really like to see a physical release for this one. Favorite track: Indomitable.

Fallenin77 🇺🇸 A triumph of classic Death Metal, Death Never Sleeps distills 90s fury with technical precision. fyeahmetal It's compact, catchy OSDM with serious messages behind the fun, courtesy of lyrical incisiveness from Doug Moore of Pyrrhon. The biggest influence I hear is the chunkiness of old Suffocation, followed by the blasting of old Vader and the low/high vocals of Deicide. The feel is lively and organic, no over-compressed slickness here. This may be a side project, but it's up there with any main gigs doing OSDM nowadays. Favorite track: Stripmined Flesh Extractor.

Urso X My favourite Frontierer release to date. A somewhat rare(ish) case of the shorter EP format working in a band's favour. Excellent!

Worldgorger Where is the animated contest of spirit? Where is hell rising up against us? A screaming, burning skull breaking through the surface against the backdrop of a dead, icy forest. He crawled to the middle of a frozen lake, laid down and died. A crippled Lucifer ambles on; surrounded by cold and darkness. Hell dwells in ice. Favorite track: As The Night Wept.
