Dante Ruivo I've been basically listening to this record (at least) once a day, and it has been really helping me with anxiety and feelings of been overwhelmed by life. Magic stuff. Favorite track: Saudade (Journey To Peace).

bcb723 Haha that Sea of Tranquility variant is a goddamn work of art. Glad I didn't blink in immediately purchasing before it was gone 🤣

Dave Aftandilian Epic and immersive, yet also laid back and relaxing. If Pink Floyd were to re-form and start making guitar-driven dungeon synth, I’ll bet it would sound like this.
    Jesus Popcornius thumbnail
Jesus Popcornius Lovely stuff, echoes of late 60s and 70s prog rock, modified upon your instantly recognisable style, identified across most of your projects..

Solidarity to Palestine, Rojava, Lebanon, Global Sumud Flotilla, Saif, Thiago, Aristos and all the oppressed! ✊

Against AI, techbro billionaires, murderous fascists and sexists throughout the world.
    p4r thumbnail
p4r For a long time I learned instruments without passion just to finally listen to what I wanted to hear. With The Ritual by Night Vigil, I can rest.
    Desert/psych rock with harsh peaks.
    Wonderful.

FLXFR Masterful melodic death metal with raw and triumphant swagger. Favorite track: THE PROCESSION OF SANDS.
    A. thumbnail
    A. Not sure why the other reviewer thinks BSS is a SFW version of Arghoslent, far from it - these dudes are savage, singing about real issues and events. Read up on their themes and you'll get what I'm saying. Amazing release, keep'em coming boys 🔥 🔥 🔥 Favorite track: FIVE DEMANDS.
    pranaferox thumbnail
pranaferox Fulfills the promise of their demo (which was my favorite release of 2023). Going to be hard to beat this year.

What the other guy said... like if Arghoslent collided with Thin Lizzy, but they sang about cool stuff instead of dumbass gutter racism.
    Wheels of Mercury thumbnail
Wheels of Mercury I've been waiting for something from this Irish-American band for three years, and that something is finally here! Like with the demo from 2023, if you like the riffing style of a certain Running Wild-inspired melodeath band, but you want to stay away from the absolutely uncalled-for racism of that band's lyrics... you've found your alternative!

Clover! If you're a fan of grind or metal or other guitar music that makes noises you haven't heard before then this is a pretty good One Of Those. Favorite track: Blood Porridge Tower.
    Seb thumbnail
Seb First of all, the band cites excellent videogames as an influence, they also consider themselves a "metaphysical goregrind" band, and finally... well, their music is a titanic blast. It's goregrind, but expect smart strange sound design, discrete unsettling keyboards that adds to the sick atmosphere, a varied, organic songwriting, and of course, overall madness and brutality. I'm a huge advocate for bands that make their genre evolve without comprising it. This is one.
    TheDeckCrusher thumbnail
TheDeckCrusher This album is a breath of fresh air in the goregrind genre! What an awesome album, continually chaotic, great gurgling spews, and something fresh around every corner! Highly recommend this. Hats off to Encephalic Productions for the excellent production and packaging. Great label. Favorite track: Gallon of Cyberdream Emissions.
    brutaltryptamine2 thumbnail
brutaltryptamine2 absolutely incredible tape. originality galore. super fucked up in every way. strange in the best of ways. killing it Mr. Brents Favorite track: Splattered Spiritual Bacterium.

    Syntax John thumbnail
Syntax John Ravenous and untameable. Power-tinged thrash metal that shreds everything foolish enough to get in its way.

An absolutely fantastic album to play while you slay the forces of evil.
    activa44 thumbnail
activa44 One of the best and freshest sounding LPs in years for this kind of stuff.

Each instrument fits perfectly into the whole, and the songwriting is diverse and engaging: from slow chugging riffs to sudden outbursts of frantic skank beats paired with VERY satisfying alternate-picked palm mutes, and everything in between. All with theatrical yet intense vocals on top. The russian language and keyboards also help create the mystical atmosphere and the unique vocal sounds.

    Epic and rifftacular!
