YomaBarr This just couldn't be bad even if it tried, and, turmoil of life or not, I find this uplifting like all hell. Now you know, kids, who was responsible for all that Stortregn sound 😎
    bmurator thumbnail
bmurator Swiss Melodic Black / Death Metal. As Sasha & Yoma 🖤 already stated, littlew can go wrong with such a line-up... :) It is indeed a most uplifting album as Yoma said! The melodies are perfectly balanced by the wonderfully raw, but still just rounded enough, vocals. I have only just bought it & it has been on a very steady rotation for the entire Easter weekend! No faves at all! Highly recommended!!!
    MarshMelody thumbnail
MarshMelody meloblack with some of the sickest melodies and most ecstatically technical performances, as to be expected from one of the masterminds behind Storts. Favorite track: Shining Amidst the Lights.

Urso X I expected greatness from Saasta after learning it’s the genius behind CHESTCRUSH (& Company), but I never suspected Cesspool would be so catchy and downright listenable. Yoma’s right, headbangable AF, and list-worthy!!

PS — Saasta posted an Insta story for Anti-Racism Week that would have made me a fan even if this record didn’t kick ass :)
    YomaBarr thumbnail
YomaBarr Finnish, heavy, rotten, headbangable af, downtuned af and nasty. Nice lyrics. The majestic Finnish language on The Envy. What else could one ask for? Chances are this will make my list 😎

In the spectrum somewhere between Sepulchral Curse's Ashes Remain and Nightfell.

Urso X Builds on the raw dsbm of their s/t EP by significantly punching up the tempo, anguish/menace (esp. those vocals, holy shit), and songwriting, while also expanding their sonic palette and sharpening production. A huge leap forward!

PS — In case you’re wondering why this sounds vaguely Déhà-adjacent, vocalist D. Naga is Déhà :)

PPS — Recorded live, WTF?! Favorite track: Cendres.

Nocturnal Egg (Jordan) De l'introspection à l'ouverture totale...

Favorite track: Black Crystal Snowfall.
    Sælzer Bub thumbnail
Sælzer Bub Damn,…what a monster! Well, i would call it progressive black/death doom metal. The harder songs (1-3) really kick ass. Amazing guitarwork and some heavy drums. Then there is an acoustic intro to the next song „Black Crystal Snowfall“ It‘s a little slower but an epic piece of music. After that, there is an acoustic outro - simply amazing.
Truly a masterpiece! Favorite track: The Carrion Shade.
    SkunkBeatManiac thumbnail
SkunkBeatManiac Post Doom Black Metal album. First two songs are especially good and uplifting. #2 is a dynamic song that features blast beat moments and droning build up in one song. Favorite track: The Carrion Shade.
