acaDamien From killer riffs and melodies, at times chugging, slamming drums, evil vocals. The lyrical themes are perfection. This is a great album. Favorite track: Souls In Formaldehyde.
    Nocturnal Egg (Jordan) thumbnail
Excellent ! Favorite track: Souls In Formaldehyde.
    quasiotter thumbnail
quasiotter solid album all the way through. definitely at their best when they're changing it up multiple times within a a song. i'm sure the narrative is evil and shit but i cannot understand anything Favorite track: Souls In Formaldehyde.

lady of shalott The first time I listened to 'Pain is beauty', I was instantly enamored of Chelsea Wolfe's unique sound . It is dark and raw but simultaneously sensual. On this acoustic album there is an added fragility which I find enchanting. Favorite track: Boyfriend.
    Killer McCann thumbnail
Killer McCann Beautiful album, only flaw is it isn't longer Favorite track: The Way We Used To.
    Ciarán Creature thumbnail
Ciarán Creature Chelsea Wolfe proves formidable at both acoustic and heavy tracks. This album really shows off her songwriting ability with stripped-down, acoustic songs that show her skill and prowess while keeping the eerie, dark, and moody feel we love so much.

Doom King Hear the influences in this. Great progressive melodies and massive in scope; each song replayable. Some decent head boppers in amongst it and some boss drumming that is really adding surprises along the way.

The chromatic arpeggiation to close the album is fantastic and well crafted. NYP no brainer.

    🤘🤘 Favorite track: Cloak-Noir Bloom.
    Jono Schneider thumbnail
Jono Schneider Heavy riffs that sound Druidian, music expansive like magic but also contained within its own magic world. Great record!
