    mxntis thumbnail
mxntis Happy music is the best music Favorite track: Until The Fires Die.
    dickersdone thumbnail
dickersdone The sheer beauty of the compositions and the choruses that flow like ambrosia from the gods create this effervescent masterpiece.

I’m far from being the most positive person I know, but bathing in Fellowship’s infinite sunbeams, I feel like this life is truly worth living. Favorite track: Avalon.
    wsamsaal thumbnail
wsamsaal Ridiculously fun power metal that makes me happy to listen to. I don't need to worry about the lore of Lord of the Rings or anything like that, just that a bunch of nerds are making some of the best happy music ever. Favorite track: Atlas.

  2. The Skies Above Eternity
    by Fellowship
    supported by
    wirbelwind thumbnail
wirbelwind Absolute uplifting, genuinely hopeful bops that aren't afraid to acknowledge how *hard* hope is?? With rad instrumentals and some of the best lyrics I've heard since Valiant Hearts?? Album of the year 2026 (yes I'm calling it now). Favorite track: Dawnbreaker.
    klbrotherton27 thumbnail
klbrotherton27 My girlfriend listened to Dawnbreaker 400ish times when it came out, so I think she'll enjoy the physical copy for Christmas. :) Favorite track: Dawnbreaker.
    Delphinium Arbus thumbnail
Delphinium Arbus An excellent second showing from Fellowship, The Skies Above Eternity is quite the album. Excellent instrumentation and vocals with strong lyrics.

I think Victim is my favorite song on the album, with its darker vibes eventually giving away to the determination to overcome. It combines with the excellent guitar and drum work to make a fantastic song (the album overall has darker themes, but I do enjoy a victory, as it were).

Great album, and absolutely worth a listen. Favorite track: Victim.

eddie-kemper Need it as fast, as funky, as heavy, as scientific enought to know that this is the greatest momento to being alive. Favorite track: Brain Fingerprinting.
    Cole Bratcher thumbnail
Cole Bratcher The gold standard in InstruMETAL. Favorite track: Laser Lobotomy.
    Gaslight Gatekeep Girlboss thumbnail
Gaslight Gatekeep Girlboss 15 years later still one of the coolest instrumental metal albums ever.

  5. Years Past Matter
    by Krallice
    supported by
    ribsgibson thumbnail
ribsgibson The first four Krallice in order are essential usbm releases... usually bands with long tracks get tiring, but with Krallice it's always fresh. Plus the new remaster jobs give them all new life. Favorite track: IIIIIIIIII.
    Dan E thumbnail
Dan E Uniquely possessing a weird kind of shrill fragility amidst the hammering. Obviously the careful production does a lot to make that possible. A seminal and singular contemporary wall of sound. Favorite track: IIIIIIIIIIII.
    bcb723 thumbnail
bcb723 The pinnacle of the first era of Krallice. This album was so powerful they took 3 years to make their next move. It is almost as if they realized how far they had taken their vision with these songs and needed to take a breath afterwards. A challenging and phenomenal work. 10/10 Favorite track: IIIIIIIIIIII.

    Daniel Pearson thumbnail
Daniel Pearson This is insanely fun stuff. One man deathmetal project you wont regret listening to. Easily a 9/10 banger. Favorite track: Tragic Ascent Of Absurdity's Pale Moon.
    Metallurgical Fire thumbnail
Metallurgical Fire I’ll never miss another of Evan’s albums. Transcending Obscurity has been showing uncanny discernment with the signings lately. After starting to absorb the music of D and D every release keeps sounding better with repeat listens. This music injects and then infects.
    Brent Davis thumbnail
Brent Davis Thank you Transcending Obscurity, I missed this album the first time round - it's bleedin' fantastic!

Instant conversion to DEAD AND DRIPPING's weird, outre, immensely satisfying form of death metal. Favorite track: Hysterical Mirages of Otherworldly Calamity.

    bcsharp thumbnail
bcsharp MJ is too modest about this one: it's very strong work--listen to the whole album, start to end. With the right wardrobe and choreography, maybecould be the next Miley Cyrus...but we'd prefer more gripping albums like this.
    orsonwiles thumbnail
    orsonwiles In for a penny.

a little hard to figure out which track is which. but I also like L I 0 l l Favorite track: ╔╬▌■∩.
    neonafterglow thumbnail
neonafterglow Dynamic and holds your attention. Intriguing concept that is betrayed if skipped through. Listen front to back; enjoy the almost cinematic crescendo. Solid length and depth, doesn’t overstay it’s welcome. Two thumbs up.

Dan Hébert Fantastic death metal, impeccable musicianship. I was excited to see they're working on a full length. Favorite track: Railgun Combat.
    funkhundd thumbnail
funkhundd The Morbid Angel comparisons are pretty much spot on. Laura of Xenolich by Black Hole Deity sounds like the record the Floridians would have made after Altars of Madness hadn't Death Metal become all the rage back in the day.
    Ryan thumbnail
Ryan Killer, straight-forward death metal with technical tendencies! This EP is short and sweet with everything you need and nothing you don't for your quick death metal fix! Production is great too. Favorite track: Multiverse Incantations.

    sashavonkarl74 thumbnail
sashavonkarl74 An amazing blend of dungeon synth / symphonic / melodic BM, just love the atmosphere created here, it is really immersive without being cheesy or overly-done, worth checking out if you're into this type of blends. Thank you Chris for drawing my attention to this gem !! Favorite track: Saeculorum.

Matt Medeiros Zero-IQ no-brain ignorant slam executed with perfection. The stupidest lyrics I've ever read. It's clangked out to unsustainable levels with the pingiest snare this side of Brodequin.
"Slam is a psyop designed to lower the global IQ to zero." Favorite track: The Death Of Slam (Rise Of The Invirulants).
