Great choruses and bags of atmosphere. One of the albums' of 2024, no question.

bmurator French Goth Rock. Every now & then, I *need* my music to remind me of a modern & up to date version of Depeche Mode & the others listed here. This hits the spot like no other & they can do no wrong imho - as illustrated by the available song! I am so looking forward to this! Highly recommended!!!

preciousken ook if Astari Nite has a new single, I am here for it. That said, holy crap this is a jam. An enchanting garden of mythic colors and romantic poetry. It bounces between complex layers and stripped down emotional delivery. The vocals are that beautiful teardrop smooth Robert Smith croon which makes my heart well. ermannoxxx This is Astari Night's most ambitious record to date and it really pays off! I love this album from start to finish, it has a mid to late 90's vibe while staying very authentic to their music. I have always thought that his vocals sounded very Bowie esk , and It couldn't be more true here..I also find that some songs sound very much like Rozz Williams style and lyrics, and that's a really good thing 🖤 Fabulous album guys! Favorite track: Tongue Tied Galore.

Neil Zielinski Only Human is the most relatable track I have heard in a long time. This is an artist who know his audience and they sound good representing them. I feel myself wrapped in the sound and the song. For the rest of the album, I still thoroughly enjoyed myself and loved it. This is a good album at least and at best near perfect for capturing what the bands of the 80's failed to do. Favorite track: Only Human.

vykr Quite simply; this album beguils the senses and allows you to wander wide-eyed among the landscape of your mind, lulled into security by Tennyson, then hauled into the clamour of forgotten spirits. A strange mix of folk, art rock and punk sensibilities combines to form a melting pot of styles and ideas that while diverse and eclectic, never fails to captivate. Ellen Mandel I am sitting here listening with headphones. This record touches my soul in so many ways. It is musically superior. I am extremely fussy and know what I like. LLK No one manages to revive the 80s dark pop melancholy and make it so fresh and contemporary like Ulver. Apocalyptic lyrics never sounded dancier. Favorite track: Machine Guns and Peacock Feathers.

rasmodeus Such a good album. It's synthy and dark and seems to have an overall theme about loss and change, I just wish I had known of them earlier. Favorite track: Southern Gothic.

palehorse666 one wouldn't expect "grand" or "epic" to be synonymous with synthpop, but this is as much of the grandest scope and a sweeping epic as an album of this genre could be. with commercialism also comes solid production, catchy melodies, dark themes, and lyrical depth. Ulver is a group I need to delve deeper into, but this is an incredibly good start. Favorite track: Southern Gothic.

RJ Has there been a band with such a fantastic musical voyage as Ulver? A truly dynamic release in an already stellar catalogue. Dark synth pop for the masses with historical influences. Highly, highly recommended. 9/10 Favorite track: So Falls the World.
