H.L. While searching for honest, heartfelt, but not overly harsh music that my wife and I could both agree on, I came across WIFE SUPPORT. Their alternative indie pop is quite catchy and genuinely soulful, thanks to her warm, pleasant voice. The songs aren't "over-intelectual", as is often the case with singer-songwriters; instead, they're also musically interesting and range from relaxed to lively. Recommended tracks: "The Winner" and "Back to Me." Favorite track: Back To Me.

gniehl As a German, I didn't even know we had these kinds of gems in our music scene! The songs of this album sound truly handmade, it really makes me re-appreciate the pre-2000s sound and style. We need more of this kind of music! Favorite track: Strange Weekend.
    Akira Watts thumbnail
Akira Watts "To The Westcoast" is the obvious highlight here - a perfect slice of sunshine pop with a vague hint of psychedelia. It deserves to be famous. But the whole album is worth hearing, since there's not a bad song to be found. Favorite track: To The Westcoast.
