    Indeterminacy thumbnail
Indeterminacy If this record had come out in the 70s it would be a holy grail by now. Discovered on my first visit to Nova Scotia, listening through dozens of records by local and East Coast artists, with Chiac Disco as the absolute winner. Delightful disco grooves plus Lisa LeBlanc's playful charisma result in a fun classic. Every track is my favorite, but the bass on Dan l'jus is icing on the cake.
    Steven Ferguson thumbnail
Steven Ferguson I had just finished the most physically demanding hike of my life: The Golden Ears. I was exhausted and questioning whether I truly wanted to do more hiking. I started driving out of the park, and CBC Radio was playing this album as a showcase of those on the Polaris Music Prize shortlist. The energy and joy conveyed lifted my spirits, and I will forever associate it with that weekend. I bought the vinyl as soon as I got home. Favorite track: Gossip II.

Summer Angine de Poitrine, brings new fun and life into prog rock in both presentation and sound. I think if you like Cassiopeia you'll like them. Alternatively if you're transgender you will probably like them as well. Favorite track: Ababa Hotel.
    sassychicken17 thumbnail
sassychicken17 This album breaks my brain in the best of ways. From the innovative microtonal sounds to the time signature shifts, my mind and body are fully engaged with every track. Bandcamp has the audacity to force me to choose exactly one favorite song, but they are all great tracks! Favorite track: Ababa Hotel.
