DAS VILLAIN More subdued and minimalist that their previous releases-save only the very dark aggro and introspective (pun intended) 1989 Introspective-"Nonetheless" evokes multiple emotions regarding the human condition without coming off like a clinical therapist or psychologist. This release is complex, cerebral, emotional, and accessible at the same time while PSB keeps to their 43+ years roots while expanding into new territories of their electro-pop centric sound. Favorite track: Love is the law.

tokyolovesme ... skillfully pragmatic, pertinent masterclass lesson in sound design establishes mood to scale leveling an unbiased and unprejudiced hand of auricle adjudication as the Haujobb subject-matter experts interface and merge thought and execution with field recording levels sustained as each sound rings the expositions to prefecture. Bearing its fangs at explorations of nuanced track sequencing, Haujobb breathes new light into the treasures of industrial while habitually transcending! Resistance...

adam @ I've listened to this a lot. It's very thoughtfully composed and that comes through in every tune. Somehow, it also feels emotionally heavier. Maybe it just speaks to me more than their previous material, but I've always considered myself a fan, and I feel like this might be their best album to date. Favorite track: Opposition.

Durchkreuzer A real surprise, a subdued female voice does the trick to drill this relentlessly home. Am I already too much accustomed to Mark's outstanding voice? Anyway, this track is a superb gem.

Rawhead Rex Absolutely phenomenal. Stands with the best of Bohren among the greats of the unfortunately named “dark jazz”/“doom jazz” movement. Lovely, dark, heartfelt, human, sad, hopeful, complex, world-building. Tremendous album. Favorite track: Short Change.

Lionel Valdellon (Acid42) Dark downtempo meandering groovy jazz complete with vibraphone, muted trumpet, walking bass, brushed drums, and the occasional vocal sample. Could very well be the soundtrack to a black and white flick about a private investigator and a femme fatale. Favorite track: Bottom Feeder Blues.
