alessiobasili the logical continuation of the old, fashioned and forever loved prog-psych, a beautiful mix of my favourite all time beloved milestones , early porcupine tree wilson solo period and ozric, something delerium and something dovetails, but in 2026. thanks mathias and sorry for comparison. absolutely great.

    Carsten Pieper thumbnail
Carsten Pieper Yes, indeed, this very much reminds of David Sylvian, ca. Beehive-era, which indeed again, is big praise! But where Sylvian could rely on an illustrious group of collaborators, Piero Delux had to do everything by himself. So, you cant't expect so many musical nuances here, but nevertheless sound and arrangements support the musical content very well! Favorite track: Hemisphere.
    Jono Schneider thumbnail
Jono Schneider Lovely and mellow. Singing is quite Sylvian-ish. Favorite track: Reflections.
    minilog thumbnail
minilog Captivating, from the first note to the last. Of course, David Sylvian, especially the Sylvian of the 1980s, immediately springs to mind, but 1) Elsehow's voice easily stands up to comparison (high praise indeed !) ; 2) the sound treatment is perfect, both subtle and refined, with delicate guitar arpeggios intertwining with those of the synthesizers in a kind of relaxing sound bath. Beautiful and poignant, quite simply. A success.

kaosskid I love this album so much that buying it on Juno was not enough. I can't wait to listen to it so I bought it here too. It is utterly fantastic! Alex just keeps getting better and better with every album he puts out. Thank you so much for these sonic gems! If you haven't already click "buy", you won't be disappointed! Favorite track: Nilwella.
    veldusi thumbnail
veldusi Whereas "Allambie" (2024) felt like a self-contained magical place, "Hiriketiya" feels more like openair soundstage where I would expect artists like Peter Gabriel and Paul Simon to turn up with their on-the-road Athens/Graceland collective, yet followed up by a more contemporary freestyle producer/dj such as Simon Mills (Bent).

Is it because the first track has a bassline somewhat familiar to the outro of Pete's and Kate's "Don't give up"?

Anyway, Alex Albrecht is a great alchemist. Favorite track: Intervals.
