Thomas Callahan Been wowed by Fire Tools since the pandemic. Love everything I’ve heard. Have a special place in my heart for two songs, both done featuring Sling Beam, one on this album. One is my favorite song on this album, the other is a Rush cover. Favorite track: Pleasant Valley Magic Cube Of Holiness.

  4. Fantasy
by DJ Sabrina The Teenage DJ
    supported by
    Connor Ferguson thumbnail
Connor Ferguson Honestly a masterpiece, a dizzying concoction of deep house, vaporwave, plunderphonics, and even city pop at some points. Every time I return to it I find a new favorite track, but the best thing about Fantasy is how holistic of a mood piece it is, like stepping through a portal into a world of nostalgia without any of the cynicism and irony so much nostalgia-bait has devolved to - instead, Fantasy's nostalgia is sincere and heartfelt, saturated and lovely. Favorite track: Is This Love?.
    plasticwrap thumbnail
plasticwrap Your local fitness/yoga studio doesn't need a music streaming subscription, they just need a boom box with a working tape player and DJ Sabrina the Teenage DJ tapes! (Dead serious.) Ankle warmers and sweatbands not included. Side effects include elation, motivation, and restless booty syndrome. Consult your friends if you experience a manic episode lasting longer than 4 hours. Use however the heck you please. Favorite track: Not There Yet.

thevoiceofdog it's good to feel a good thing again Favorite track: There Won't Be An Answer.
    pauladotjpg thumbnail
pauladotjpg This album means so much to me. The instrumentals and vocals are entrancing, and the lyrics are able to grasp and express emotions that I feel but have a difficult time describing myself. Fear of Pleasure and There Won't Be An Answer especially. Favorite track: Fear of Pleasure.
    Matt Collander thumbnail
Matt Collander I thought I knew how to play guitar at least at a fundamental level, and I don't understand how the notes are even happening here, it's so great.

    Jeffrey Schrader thumbnail
Jeffrey Schrader The gateway to a great way. Favorite track: 101 North.
    Malocchio thumbnail
Malocchio It's just about impossible to pick a favorite track from this album. IMO, this record is a prime example of Patton at his best. This entire album from start to finish is solid gold. I kind of feel like "God Hates a Coward" is a no-brainer, but for me "101 North" ranks it's equal. Total insanity, I love it. "Malocchio" is definitely right up there as well. God damn I love this album, lol. Favorite track: 101 North.
    Darknight thumbnail
Darknight Tomahawk album is my ultimate fave record to listen to, so gratifying and mindblowing to hear on bandcamp. Mike Patton's vocals are just stunning, the guitars are totally badass, everything about this album just screams masterpiece and no wonder when you've got an amazing vocalist and unbelievable rhythm section, Mr Denison, Mr Stanier and Mr Dunn, this is the ultimate supergroup. Favorite track: Pop 1.

    You're A Dog, Don't Talk To Me You're A Dog, Don't Talk To Me
    supported by
    schimternet thumbnail
schimternet Everything to love about Hurley is here and more. New tea is a beautiful rephrasing of a very old blue grass song “that lonesome train that took my baby away”
Love how he draws from the broad book of American folk and blues so delicately and naturally.
The mouth trumpet on these tunes is also golden. Favorite track: New Tea.
    Lavinie Cloutier thumbnail
Lavinie Cloutier Tu te comportes comme un chien sale, parles-moi pas! You're A Dog, Don't Talk To Me

J'adore cet artiste! Maman pirate va remplir sa bourse de pépites avant de tout pouvoir acheter son œuvre! ;-) Il a tellement une belle voix! J'aime ses chansons. C'est inspirant pour faire des films!

Dududil The titans of sludge metal is back. This might well be their best work yet. Heavy, massive, and at times hypnotic. This is the album to hold onto in these desperate times. Favorite track: First Red Rays.
    Michael Carter thumbnail
Michael Carter This feels like a new beginning, forget about everything, just focus on this....passion and honesty, bare your soul....ignore ridicule, or tags that try to define you.....a portrait of a world....what's next?

    alpaps thumbnail
alpaps As a new fan of Gareth Liddiard and his various music groups (The Drones & TFS), it makes me extremely happy to be around as they release a new album. Fairyland Codex is a destructively depressing album, masquerading as pure unadulterated chaos, as a Tropical Fuck Storm album should be. Favorite track: Irukandji Syndrome.
    Yap'n Jazz thumbnail
Yap'n Jazz I fucking love Tropical Fuck Storm, and this might be their best album yet. Favorite track: Fairyland Codex.
    dlfurr thumbnail
dlfurr Found on KEXP Live, experienced them blowing the doors of Tubby's in upstate NY. Favorite track: Irukandji Syndrome.
