    GeN2Mo thumbnail
GeN2Mo I'm not that well read within this subgenre space. So, speaking from my context this registres as Pop Metal built on a foundation of Sludge. Which I find immensely appealing. There's just a rawness and a feel for the value of empty spaces and pauses that a lot of the more Industrial Metal-derived Pop Metal has lacked for a long time now. There's so much deliberate control over pacing an emphasis here.
    jim_fuego thumbnail
jim_fuego Very far from terrible, more like brilliant. Heavy? Melodic? Righteous fury? Check, check and check. Brilliant live the other night as well Favorite track: History's Biggest T-Shirts.
    Gary Davidson thumbnail
Gary Davidson One of the finest bands this miserable piece of land has produced in a long time. Very excited to see where album number three takes us.

Just Dead Stuff Like an art rock Kaatayra, beautiful and lush. Favorite track: Xe Anama (Coração no Ritmo da Terra).
    boinky37 thumbnail
boinky37 I love what’s going on here. The compositions are pleasantly dense and textured and this also has served as an introduction to Ailton Krenak’s writings. The cover art also feels very cathartic Favorite track: Ayaba Oxum.
    j_ooparts thumbnail
j_ooparts This album is sublime. I can't stop listening to it. The propulsive rhythms guide you through the layered hypnotic maximalism. Thank you for making this. Favorite track: Oyá Dewo.

    Adam Rosenberg thumbnail
Adam Rosenberg This album is AMAZING!!!! The first 3 songs, Rat Poison / Cave Dwellers / Pity Party, are all insanely great. With ferocity & lyrics that come straight from the heart of a fully present vegan, holding nothing back & screaming truth into the silent void… Favorite track: Pity Party.
    Adam Andrade thumbnail
Adam Andrade You know that wearied tattooed old guy at the local dive bar, who's just over this shit, is secretly the coolest guy you've ever met? This is the album equivalent of that legend Favorite track: Posture Contest.

FinDirk A little too much atmosphere and not enough noise, but RINUWAT has some great ideas and when they go hard they go hard Favorite track: Taring Emas.

rob Wow, what a journey. So many styles and twists and turns. Expert musicianship; extremely heavy at times while being balanced by catchy and groovy sections. Up there on my AOTY list so far for 2026.

    Sightless_Wisdom thumbnail
Sightless_Wisdom Be prepared to either die or go to jail because you will piss off your neighbors so much with how loud and powerful this music is that you will either fight to the death or kill your opponent and rot for the remainder of your days in prison. So basically the music will achieve its goal of laying waste to everyone and everything that hears it. Favorite track: Invoke War (feat. Machine Head).
    justintylerhughes thumbnail
justintylerhughes Savage heavy grooves Favorite track: Absolute Zero.
    positronicping thumbnail
positronicping Frozen Soul move ever closer to the Platonic ideal of death metal on this album. It's all timeless stuff, teeming with infectious riffs and pulverising grooves, as well as some appropriately icy atmospherics here and there. It might be meat and potatoes, but it's cooked by Michelin star chefs. Favorite track: Ethereal Dreams.
