    Marshalsea thumbnail
Marshalsea Sums up living in the current state of decay left by various Tory and Reform scum. Favorite track: Velodrome.
    mattdav thumbnail
mattdav Unlike anything I've heard before in it's own distinction. Raw, heavy and ultimately cathartic to listen to. Love finding new music that speaks to a part of me that I didn't know was there, which Chalk's discography is a keen example of. Wonderful local talent I wish I had been recommended sooner. Favorite track: Velodrome.

DAS VILLAIN Whatever Justin Broadrick puts out with his quadrillion music projects (Note: Quadrillion is an actual number; look it up...LOL!), I'm down to listening! Of all Justin's projects, Jesu in my Top 10 because of the shoegazing meets contemporary electronic music. A release of previous cuts on splits and unreleased tracks it pushed the boundaries between dream pop, noise pop, post metal, angular techno, and blissful lo-fi distortions. Favorite track: The Stars That Hang Above You (2024 Remaster).

hops this is good and i like it Favorite track: Hard To Reach (Alternative Version).
    corbin.j thumbnail
corbin.j Reminds me a lot of the Why Are We Not Perfect EP and even Pale Sketcher to an extent. Always up for hearing some new Jesu. Favorite track: Didn't Want To Wake Up.

arcx.soux easy fellas, no need to go that hard on the 'bonus' 'extra track' 'for the reissue' Favorite track: Eraser (Baby Alarm Remix).
    julia thumbnail
julia complete sonic deconstruction of everything that made me interested in NIN in the first place, and i love this album because of that. Favorite track: Eraser (Baby Alarm Remix).
    Vyx thumbnail
Vyx To finally have a copy of this legendary pairing!! Recoiled is to Downward Spiral as Fixed was to Broken, entirely complementary to each other. Like taking an already exceptional piece of art and finding the perfect backdrop, wall, or showcase to display it in/on. 100% recommended, Eraser (Reduction) is absolutely haunting and a Gilded Sickness is a wild ride of the psyche with an implied grim ending. Favorite track: The Downward Spiral (A Gilded Sickness).

    Ron Hogan thumbnail
Ron Hogan This may be a weird take, but from the opening notes I got this sort of 1970s giallo vibe from the album, like it’s the soundtrack to an uncanny film that exists only in our imagination. That vibe waxes and wanes as the album continues, but it never completely disappears… and the unsettling feeling is why I dig it so much. Favorite track: Want.
    Emily Violet thumbnail
Emily Violet An absolute must listen for doom metal aficionados, metalheads more generally, and, well, everyone. Fantastic stuff. Favorite track: Indignation.
    Scott Spiers thumbnail
Scott Spiers This is real Doom in many regards. Not that any other form or band isn't real, it's just that Divide and Dissolve has the uncomfortable ability to express themselves as indigenous people and write music that reflects what it feels like to be themselves. But that's when things get scary: they also write what it would be like if majority of populations had to experience any sense of objective, detached, universal justice.

    -cleanandsoberstoner.com Favorite track: Indignation.
