  1. GUSH
    by Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith
    supported by
    vstephenfan thumbnail
vstephenfan I cannot stop listening to this incredible album. It’s complex and sonically rich like Smith’s earlier album, but it is less jarring in its transitions than her previous full length. Amazing programming and arrangments, captivating melodies, weird vocal treatments and a kind of concept about relationships and intimacy across the songs. Highly recommended.

jacksparrowh Dziękuje za ten piękny album. Favorite track: The Boat.
    chick327 thumbnail
chick327 I haven’t visited Hania’s site yet but I wanted to listen to the entire album before I do. In many ways this is more important to a composer then the little money they would get from my purchase. Overall I liked all the pieces I heard. Very relaxing ambient with very nice use of her voice in the mix in some of the pieces. Rani has good grasp of her synths, percussion, and mixes her compositions very well. Very Glad I bought Rani’s Album.

    by Die Spitz
    supported by
    David Oberlin thumbnail
David Oberlin Man, I wish I wrote riffs as heavy as this! \m/ <3 \m/ Favorite track: American Porn.
    t0cktock thumbnail
t0cktock The videos slowly trickled into my YouTube algorithms somehow. Then one night, I fell asleep watching something else on YouTube and woke up to their KEXP performance of "American Porn". It's been stuck in my head ever since. Die Spitz lives somewhere in the intersection of grunge, punk and metal; filthy and heavy. Favorite track: American Porn.

  1. Helium Head
    by Mutoid Man
    supported by
    Kyle thumbnail
Kyle Still my favorite of all their releases. It feels slightly unhinged and like every song could go off the rails at any moment. Hot take: this is Ben Koller's finest hour. Favorite track: Sacriledge.
    jrsmith17 thumbnail
jrsmith17 The opening to Scrape the Walls rips. Favorite track: Scrape the Walls.
    riverofnaaiers thumbnail
riverofnaaiers Strange, heavy and sooooo soulful. I love how wild every track is on this. Like one minute Kyuss on coffee and the next it has At The Drive-In vibes. Awesome experience. Favorite track: Gnarcissist.

dave ross Bandages is a fukin awesome song and would be at home on a Cave In album too Favorite track: Bandages.
    rook96 thumbnail
rook96 Another fun album with lots of tracks that leave you wondering if you should head bang or tap your toes. The last two songs Open Flame and Bandages remind you of the depth of Mutoid Man and close out a great album. Thank you Mutoid Man. Favorite track: Open Flame.
    Jose Reyes thumbnail
Jose Reyes An incredibly solid album that is a little more digestible from a supergroup that makes way WAY heavier music. Get your normie friends into this then intro them to Cave In and Converge after. Favorite track: War Moans.

    LAURENT BUR thumbnail

    by Miserere Luminis
    featured track 00:00/00:00
De cris & de cendres De cris & de cendres
    supported by
    Frosty Bear thumbnail
Frosty Bear What an absolutely gorgeous, amazing album. Beautiful and emotionally heavy while being uplifting. Favorite track: Les fleurs de l’exil.
    Drew Music thumbnail
Drew Music Genuinely atmospheric, top notch post-black metal without a weak or wasted moment to be heard. Immersive, crushing and somehow also inspiring, straight to the top of the AotY contender list. Favorite track: Aux bras des vagues & des vomissures.
    Nocturnal Egg (Jordan) thumbnail

    lord_byleth thumbnail
lord_byleth Beyond black metal. Intimate and visceral album. Favorite track: Je glisse.
    Nocturnal Egg (Jordan) thumbnail
    Paintingmantis thumbnail
Paintingmantis Absolutely love this!! Some gentle changes from previous releases, with extended ambient, acoustic passages & spoken words, yet not forsaking the sound and raw atmosphere, but all together building and all encompassing the atmosphere and emotional depth 🖤

    by ULTHA
    featured track 00:00/00:00
Love As We're Falling Down Love As We're Falling Down
    supported by
    Ryan Johanson thumbnail
Ryan Johanson I've spent the last several years quietly wondering to myself what a black metal/post-punk hybrid would sound like, or if such a thing would even make sense.

This is exactly the sound I was imagining, brought to life before my very ears. Favorite track: Sister Faith & Sister Chance.
    Phyl Lobius thumbnail
Phyl Lobius ULTHA waren ja schon immer etwas Besonderes. Favorite track: Love As We're Falling Down.
    behexed thumbnail
Weißes Vinyl bestellt, kann es kaum erwarten. All hail Ultha! Favorite track: Her Still Singing Limbs.
