  1. Tôtbringære (Remastered)
    by UNGFELL

    fabesp My first Ungfell album.

    My first love!

I was kidnapped by the ability to combine ancient, atmospheres, emotions that seem to come to life from the stories and the myths told.

The sound is rough, wild and primordial.

    Wonderful!

Track 4 is my favourite! Favorite track: Trommler Tod.
    diegodar thumbnail
diegodar Raw, crushing, atmospheric, simply amazing Folk-Black Metal. I love Ungfell. This debut is a masterpiece. Although my favorite is the bonus track. Favorite track: Das Hexenmal.
    Ippocalyptica thumbnail
Ippocalyptica The cover art here, somehow, very accurately conveys the atmosphere that you should expect to find on Tôtbringære, which is a folk-oriented, medieval-themed, and highly-melodic black metal affair shuffling between the mid- and high-tempo range, and features great dynamics to boot. Comparisons to Peste Noire are fair, though I find this album to be superior to all of their output. Sühnopfer is another great point of comparison, and damn does this come close! Ungfell demands your respect. Favorite track: Trommler Tod.

    fabesp thumbnail
fabesp I’ve wanted this album for a long time.

    I knew them with Tôtbringære.

I am a italian musician of greek lyre, so i play different music, but I find extraordinary connections with our music! Your ability to return musical atmospheres connected to stories, myths and legends is sensational.

To date I include it among my favourite albums in general and little by little I am buying them all. Favorite track: De Türst und s Wüetisheer.
    drgoldilocks thumbnail
drgoldilocks This has to be one of my favorite post 2010's BM albums. I remember hearing this for the first time and being amazed from start to finish, so happy to have a physical copy now. Favorite track: Bluetmatt.

morusss Took a bit to warm to this album but loving it now. Great melodies! Emo Atmo BM. Favorite track: Velkommen til livet.
    David Fischer thumbnail
David Fischer I love Afsky. Ofte... changed everything I thought I knew about emotions, as it not only carried a profound grief, but conveyed that in a way I had not discerned before. Fællesskab takes that, increases it tenfold, and leaves you on your own to deal with the consequences. A tremendous 45 minutes of danish black metal, and by far one of the finest albums I have heard all year. These are melodies to drown yourself in, or to drink yourself to oblivion. Highlight after highlight. Terrific! Favorite track: Svanesang.

dothacnt Essential if you like your Black Metal fast. Feels like being in a Blizzard in Norway. Phenomenal album, essential for your IMMORTAL COLLECTION
    brutaldeath666 thumbnail
brutaldeath666 I don’t know why it always takes me so long to buy albums that I’ve always loved. Classic BM a must for any collection. Favorite track: Circling Above In Time Before.
    grijzevlinder thumbnail
grijzevlinder Oh, a download code! The record I bought has the old snowfall at night cover of the promo version instead that braindead guitar posing. And virgin black vinyl instead clear with rainbow shit splatter as is orderly with a Black Metal album. So, thanks Osmose. EACH of your 40+ other versions of that last classic Immortal-album look crap. Buy the 2021 version. Forget the cover, ignore the videos, all reviews. This is an audio record. Simply listen to this. Then get lost in another Texas blizzard. Favorite track: Through The Halls Of Eternity.

Muggins Simoon Strikingly original and daring music. Very emotionally evocative. Perfect music for Fall listening. A rare album that is best listened to in its entirety. John Dowland meets PJ Harvey. A new chapter in British songs plus guitar compositions. Favorite track: The Unknown.

Opethian Full disclosure, I'm new to the group. I had no clue that Will Smith from Afterbirth dropped vocals for Artificial Brain. Better late than never, I suppose, but this is stellar Death Metal from start to finish and they found a way to consistently do that on all 3 Lp's. Artificial Brain is highly regarded and very much appreciated! Greetings from Colorado! Favorite track: Celestial Cyst.
    Sid thumbnail
Sid Artificial Brain took a while for me to appreciate. After a while, I started to enjoy listening to them.

They remind me of an alternate version of Wormed's old Planisphaerum era.

    Necromancy Ritual Necromancy Ritual

    Bart thumbnail
Bart Grimy old-school death metal along the vein of early Morbid Angel, but the occasional downshift in tempo starts lean to Incantation territory. It has that raw death metal edge with a bit of chaotic looseness that really sells it. The riffs are the star here, but the occasional shift to death-doom keeps it all honest. Gotta watch this band going forward. Favorite track: Dominion of Eternal Blasphemy.
    The Mad Professor thumbnail
The Mad Professor MORTUAL just dropped one of the years best death metal albums with Altar of Brutality. Evil barbaric stuff from these Costa Rican fiends

    5/5

acaDamien This was one of my favorites for 2025 and I had listened to it on streaming repeatedly. I finally had to have my own copy since I enjoyed it so much. An amazing album. Favorite track: Talk To Your Sleep.
    bmurator thumbnail
bmurator US Atmospheric Black Metal. I very much enjoyed "Walk Beyond the Dark" so was very excited for this despite being very late to the party... :) Powerful performance together with some lovely dark atmospheres. I do not have everything of theirs but this is likely their best... :) Highly recommended!!! Favorite track: Void Within.
    Bryce thumbnail
Bryce A Void Within Existence strikes with both extremity and control. The drums are central: furious, precise, and in constant motion, driving radical tempo shifts that reshape each track. Abigail Williams moves between relentless blasts and funereal breathing spaces, playing with sharp contrasts in atmosphere. An intense album, and the band’s best in my opinion. Favorite track: Talk To Your Sleep.
