General Exchange Letter
Hello, and thank you for creating for me! Whether it's because you matched with me as your recipient, are pinch-hitting for me, or are thinking of making me a treat, I really appreciate it. I made this page to list out my general likes and dislikes when it comes to fic, so you can have some ideas as to what I enjoy! I hope that you find something that inspires you here.
Please navigate the menu to quick-jump to a certain topic! It should be to the left on a computer, and under the 'menu' button on mobile.

Do Not Want
Subject DNWs
- Smut or fetish, unless specifically requested. I'm acespec! I'm okay with "fade to black" scenes, makeouts, a character being turned on but nothing being done about it, sexual implications, and dirty jokes. However, I'm uncomfortable with dirty jokes where the subject is incest kink ("mommy"/"daddy", etc).
- Pedophilia or incest.
- FTM or FTNB gender dysphoria. Why only when the person is raised as a girl? Who knows? If a character is trans in this direction, then I prefer for it to be treated as casually as possible.
- Genderbends.
- Animal harm/death. In the case of Pokemon, canon-typical battling and injury is okay, but Pokemon death is not. In the case of Delicious in Dungeon, canon-typical monster death is fine, so long as the monster is not treated like anyone's pet.
- Unrequested LGBT+ headcanons. I'll specify my own headcanons in my request, if any, and I'd like my gift to follow those! Please do not explicitly go against my LGBT+ headcanons, either (such as portraying a character that I headcanon as trans as explicitly cisgender).
- Non-canon permanent character death.
- Eating disorders.
- Unrequested AUs, with an exception for "nobody dies" and other such happy end AUs.
- Pregnancy/birth.
- Suicide attempts and self-harm. A character struggling with suicidal thoughts is okay, and a characters who self-harm is okay (and might even be requested), as long as no such action is taken "on-page".
- Hopeless endings.
- Characters trying to "get with" another character during their very first meeting. This includes flirting with someone they barely know, dating apps, being set up by friends, etc... I don't want characters to not know each other before being romantically involved or having romantic feelings. Is my demiromanticism showing?
- Religion being presented as wholly positive. Religious fanaticism as character flaw is good (I even really like characters like that)! I love religious conflict plotlines, and I'm even cool with a character remaining religious after the fact. However, it should not conclude with the idea that the religion and the people in it are perfect, and the character should simply Have Faith.
Medium DNWs
- AI-generated slop of any kind. Write about those two boys making out by hand, like God intended! (lighthearted)
- Podfic.
- Chat fic.
- Song fic. Fic inspired by or named after songs are okay!
- Playlists.
- Graphics.

- Internalized homophobia. My all-time fave!! I love it when characters experience SHAME. Any flavor is good. Your classic "I wish you were a girl" flavor, religious "same-sex attracted, not gay" flavor, externalized by bullying those who they percieve as queer flavor, "it's not serious because we're the same gender" flavor... It's all a part of my balanced breakfast!
- Internalized transphobia (for MTF or MTNB characters). Please again see: I love it when characters experience SHAME.
- Religious conflict. Characters struggling with their religion is always fun and yummy, especially when related to the last two points! Please see my DNWs for ways I don't want this handled.
- Autistic characters. Especially if you, the author, are autistic, too! I love it when fics explore how being autistic affects a character. Internalized ableism is also great.
- Trans characters. Please see my DNWs for ways I don't want this handled.
- Character studies.
- Cannibalism/hunger analogous to desire.
- Touch-starved characters being touched.
- Themes of dehumanization, or relating to the nonhuman. Not in a sexual way. Think, "explorations of how being dehumanized, by one's self or others, can change a person".
- Monster and animal motifs. (Semi-related to the previous point...)
- Hurt/comfort.
- Found family and platonic fluff.
- Realization of romantic feelings, especially when it's absolutely soul-destroying, for whatever reason.
- Characters being nervous/shy around their romantic partner due to inexperience.

Opt-Ins
These are things that are commonly on DNW lists that I'm fine with!
- Second-person narration. No readerfic or self-inserts, please!
- Epistolary fic (fics that are written as a series of letters), in-universe documents, in-universe forum threads, all that fun stuff!
- As previously mentioned: poetry.
Fandoms
This is a list of fandoms and related info that are frequently repeated across my exchange letters! These are listed in no particular order. Please note that this is all very general, and the main exchange summary will have more information given about my specific prompt, preferred character dynamics, etc!
For relationships: & indicates a platonic relationship, and / indicates a romantic one. I do not follow the "first character listed in a ship name is dominant" rule; there is no meaning behind my ordering of names.
