....aaaand i'm back from Tokyo! a truly whirlwind trip, jam-packed with activities every single day and i probably only got to really sleep on the flights. unfortunately i caught a flu bug while i was there, and the day i got back i was a complete wreck. am feeling better now but the cold has morphed into this monstrous cough now. hoping one more night of meds tonight will help somehow; i have so much work to do at the office!
very quickly;
- layered my hair alot more and redid a digital perm! the curls are much more obvious this time, and my hair certainly feels drier than before. two digital perms in three months is really pushing the limits, so now i gotta put more effort in caring for my hair. am loving how my hair looks now!
- no desperate buys this time! nearly caved in to a pumpkin-shaped Samantha Vega handbag, but i put the decision off long enough to emerge victorious haha! and not forgetting that i just sold a Samantha Thavasa bag to an ex-japanese classmate because it was too big for me but i still bought it, literally out of desperation at the Kobe outlet mall in Feburary ohoho.
- lots of cheap scores this time, especially from Global Work and g.u. haha! i was really picky this time since i know i'd be going back in july for summer sales, so every buy was carefully considered. can't wait to start rotating them into my daily workwear!
- VAMPS concert at Saitama! got arena standing block tickets, and was kinda miffed as i was expecting seats so all me and my friends all had bags and stuff. our numbers were literally called out last, so we were at the furthest block from stage, but in fact we weren't really that far from the stage and yet there was plenty of space for us to leave our bags on the floor! it was a really fun live, we jumped alot and had no idea that there was a 5.5 magnitude earthquake right in Saitama! we only realized that there was an earthquake when the staff announced that all train lines are not running. the return journey to Ikebukuro was a nightmare; the train line towards Ueno was still working so we squeezed in and were packed literally to sardine level, and about five mins after leaving the station, the train stopped and we remained in that squashed state for what seemed like an eternity, and finally the train arrived at the next station where half the people got off PHEW! then we waited on that same train for another eternity, and finally it moved off and reached Akabane. i knew that we were pretty close to Ikebukuro if we could get to Akabane, so we got off and took our chances to change to another train line. thankfully we got on and the train moved and got us back to Ikebukuro safely PHEW!!!
- Glay 20th anniversary concert at Tokyo Dome! the greatest reason that got Jun and I together for this trip, it was truly awesome. though we had really far seats, the whole atmosphere was amazing and it was such a heartfelt and gratitude-filled live. special guest was Yoshiki, who appeared onstage with his huge piano and he played Rain, Glay's debut single which he wrote and co-produced, with the rest of the band. i screamed my head off when he appeared, and tears were flowing freely across the whole venue. he was also clearly choking back on tears as he addressed the fans, thanking us for remaining commited to the band for all these years. so much so much so much love. we also did the X-jump, and he even took a wefie with the rest of the band onstage! had a super long and super fun nomikai with Jun and the rest of the japanese friends after the live, omg doubt i have ever laughed and joked so much in japanese!!!
- and because i didn't buy excessively, packing the luggage back this time was alot easier haha. barely spent much at the drugstores too, as i am still working hard to burn through all the inventory i have at home. doubt i can say the same for the next trip though! summer sales are always CRAZY!!!!
