Uninstalling AutoHotkey
Below you will find instructions on how to uninstall AutoHotkey from your Microsoft Windows system. Depending on which version you have, the steps may somewhat differ.
Please navigate to the instructions for your currently installed version
of Windows.
Windows 11
- On your computer, close all AutoHotkey all scripts and processes.
- Click the Start menu and then Settings.

- In the
Apps
section, click Installed Apps
.

- Under
Installed Apps
, find AutoHotkey and click the ...
for more options.
- Click Uninstall.

- Confirm by clicking Uninstall.

- Either click
Remove all
or select the versions you want uninstalled (if you have multiple versions installed), then click Remove checked
.

Windows 10
- On your computer, close all AutoHotkey all scripts and processes.
- Click the Start menu and then Settings.
- Click Apps.

- Under
Apps & features
, find and click AutoHotkey.
- Click Uninstall.

- Confirm by clicking Uninstall.

- Click Uninstall.

Windows 8, 7, or Vista
- On your computer, close all AutoHotkey scripts and processes.
- Open the Control Panel:
- Windows 7 & Vista: Click the Start menu and then Control Panel.
- Windows 8: Point to the top right of your screen. Click Settings and then Control Panel.
- Click Uninstall a program or Programs and Features.

- Double-click AutoHotkey.

- Click Uninstall.

Windows XP
- On your computer, close all AutoHotkey scripts and processes.
- Click the Start menu and then Control Panel.
- Click Add or Remove Programs.

- Click AutoHotkey.
- Click Remove.

- Click Uninstall.
