Stacie Edgar shared thisIt’s incredible to reflect on five years of Mana - a journey I’ve been connected to from the early days and, for the past 2.5 years, from within the business as their Head of Marketing. Watching the organisation grow from a small, ambitious team into the global operation it is today has been a privilege. A standout highlight has been leading the global marketing function for the Pho3nix Foundation – from building purpose-led youth sport programs that create real impact in communities around the world to celebrating Sport With Purpose alongside influential figures at the inaugural Charity Gala in Switzerland. Marketing can often feel transactional, but this work has been anything but. Another defining moment was standing atop the finish line arch at the TCS Sydney Marathon this year as it debuted as an Abbott World Marathon Major, seeing the full look and feel program come to life after years of brand evolution was incredible. I’m proud of what we’ve built, and even prouder of the team beside me. Their drive, commitment, and care for the work we do is what makes the impact possible and what continues to propel Mana forward.Stacie Edgar shared thisFive years of people, partnerships, and the moments that shaped us. What began as a small team with a big vision has grown into a global group delivering some of the world’s most meaningful sporting moments, from world stage events to programs changing lives across continents. We’ve built partnerships, created impact, and helped bring sport with purpose to new communities and new audiences. And every step has been driven by the people behind the work. This week, we’ll be sharing key moments from our journey and a glimpse of what’s next. Stacie Edgar reposted thisStacie Edgar reposted thisI’ve decided to start sharing more thoughts on partnership marketing; the good, the bad, and the occasionally absurd. After years in a range of leadership roles in agencies and the last (almost) four managing strategic partnerships for Rio Tinto, I’ve seen how differently rights holders, brands, agencies, and consumers all see the same brief. We all want impact, but we often speak different languages. So once a week, I’ll share a perspective from inside what I call the golden square; where those worlds unite or occasionally, collide. If it sparks better understanding (or even a few healthy debates), that’s a win. To kick things off, here’s what I’ve learnt so far: 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗿, 𝗶𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲. In agencies, you’re juggling clients and revenue. In-house, you’re juggling stakeholders, partnerships, and internal dynamics. The pace might shift, but the complexity deepens. It requires new ways to navigate impact and influence. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴. There’s a big difference between pitching an idea and living with its consequences. In-house, you feel the weight of decisions in a very real way. 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆. Agencies thrive on ideas. And they should. But once you’re on the brand side, clarity of purpose and alignment across teams drive impact more than the shiniest creative concept ever could. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺. It’s been eye-opening to see how often the best work comes from agencies who ask “why” more than “when do you need it?”. It can be uncomfortable but the output speaks for itself. The council we receive from our retained agency at Mana Sports and Entertainment Group (Trent Taylor, Stacie Edgar, Stephen Plakotaris) and other trusted advisors like Andrew Clarke consistently help our team do better and more impactful work. Being in this seat has made me appreciate great agencies even more but also, rethink what real partnership looks like. It’s not about who’s leading the meeting. It’s about who’s genuinely invested in the outcome. How have your own experiences, shaped the way you think about partnership dynamics?

Stacie Edgar shared thisLast night, Mana Sports & Entertainment Group was proud to stand at the heart of the Pho3nix Foundation Sport With Purpose Charity Gala at The Dolder Grand in Zurich. From concept to delivery, our team partnered across continents to bring this extraordinary evening to life — shaping the creative vision, event production, branding, guest experience, social strategy, and broadcast storytelling. The Gala celebrated the global reach of the Pho3nix Foundation and raised critical funds to expand its programs supporting young people worldwide. With athletes, leaders, and icons from across sport and entertainment in attendance, the evening reflected exactly what Pho3nix stands for: empowering the next generation through sport with purpose. We are incredibly proud to have worked alongside Sebastian Kulczyk, Pho3nix Foundation, Banana Split , and Gravity Media to deliver an unforgettable night of inspiration and impact. #ManaSports #Pho3nixFoundation #SportWithPurpose #CharityGala

Stacie Edgar reposted thisStacie Edgar reposted thisThe 2025 TCS Sydney Marathon presented by ASICS was more than a record breaking race, it was the unveiling of Mana Sports & Entertainment Group’s bold vision to redefine how a marathon looks, feels, and resonates on the world stage. From the Opera House forecourt finish line with its 10-metre LED arch, to towering start structures on the Harbour Bridge, to civic banners and Olympic-inspired medals, Mana delivered a look and feel program that matched the ambition of Sydney’s debut as an Abbott World Marathon Major. With 35,000 entrants from 150+ nations, 300,000 spectators, and global broadcast attention, Sydney joined London, Boston, and Tokyo in both prestige and presentation. By leading the creative vision and execution, Mana didn’t just support Sydney’s Major debut, we defined it. The city became a marathon theatre, every element working in concert to showcase Sydney’s character and ambition. The result: a marathon celebrated not just for its records, but for its bold identity and unforgettable presentation, setting a benchmark for future Majors and proof of Mana’s ability to deliver world-class impact. There have been so many amazing moments including the Sub7Sub8 Pho3nix Foundation event in 2022 or acting as Team Manager for Crown Racing at Supertri in 2023. I think my highlight though was getting to support our managed athletes at the Paris Olympics in 2024 and see Tyler Mislawchuk finish 9th. Stacie Edgar reacted on thisStacie Edgar reacted on thisFinishing off the year and reflecting on an incredible first 10 months at Mana Sports and Entertainment Group. From packing up my life and moving to the other side of the world, I genuinely had no idea what was next but what a journey it’s been. I started with Mana in March, and it’s been nonstop ever since. I’ve been working across all the social accounts under Mana, including Bahrain Victorious 13, the most successful endurance sports team in history, and even got to shoot with Australia’s National Swim Team, the Australian Dolphins which was such a pinch me moment for a girl who grew up swimming. One of the absolute highlights was flying to Switzerland for the Pho3nix Sport With Purpose Charity Gala, where I had the chance to interview athletes I genuinely grew up watching on TV and even the British icon James Corden. A few hours later, I was on a plane to Supertri in Jersey to support the Crown Racing team, soaking up race day and all the behind the scenes that makes this job so fun. Somewhere amongst all of that, I also organised shoots with some incredible athletes, including F1 Academy driver Bianca Bustamante and professional badminton player Popor Sapsiree, such fun projects with two seriously inspiring women. I wrapped up the year at my second Pho3nix Future Camp in Phuket, Thailand capturing the journeys of rising athletes, helping them build confidence on camera, and supporting them on best practices to grow their social presence. I honestly can’t believe how much has been packed into such a short time. So grateful for the experiences, the lessons, and the incredible people I’ve met along the way. Can’t wait to see what’s next!

Thanks AdNews Australia for sharing Luke Brown’s perspective on a topic the industry doesn’t discuss often enough: why so much modern media advice sounds smart, yet fails to deliver growth. We’ve never had more tools, more data or more dashboards. Yet penetration gains are stubborn and the link between media activity and commercial outcomes continues to weaken. The issue isn’t advertising. It’s how we’ve started interpreting effectiveness. Reach is treated as the outcome. Attention becomes the proxy. Reporting becomes the story. Luke’s piece explores how a handful of persistent myths are quietly distorting decision-making. If effectiveness is meant to mean growth, not just activity, it’s well worth the read. https://lnkd.in/gSwAsvvt
