A strong partnership for smarter mobility 🚗📡 Cars are becoming more perceptive, and advanced radar technology is playing a key role in this development. In collaboration with Gapwaves AB, AT&S is now manufacturing high-precision waveguide antenna layers for the next generation of automotive radar applications. Combining Gapwaves' patented Multi-Layer Waveguide (MLW) antenna technology with AT&S’s ultra-fine etching expertise enables reliable environmental sensing to support modern driver assistance systems and automated driving. “Through a long-term collaboration, Gapwaves and AT&S have successfully integrated our patented Multi-Layer Waveguide antenna technology with their high-precision etching capabilities. The process has been genuinely collaborative – leveraging AT&S's extensive high-volume manufacturing expertise, we have refined our product offering while jointly optimizing AT&S's production processes to meet our specific requirements, ” says Claes Haglund, Sourcing Manager at Gapwaves. This production agreement marks AT&S’s first engagement as a dedicated etching provider and reflects the versatility of our manufacturing capabilities.
